Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. honestly the whole system is ridiculous... you pay into unemployment insurance for years and then when you need it for a few weeks they find every excuse to deny you. meanwhile people game the system all the time and get benefits they shouldn't

2019 feels like a lifetime ago honestly. I remember complaining about my job back then and my dad telling me to appreciate having steady work. Wish I'd listened lol. The unemployment rate might have been low but there were still plenty of us struggling to make ends meet even with jobs.
same here, 6 months unemployed and its rough out there. the numbers dont tell the whole story though, even when unemployment was low in 2019 wages were still garbage for most people
