Following everyone's advice, I've been answering "No" to returning to work and then reporting my hours and earnings accurately. One thing I learned the hard way - make sure you report earnings for the week you WORKED, not the week you got paid. I made that mistake my first week and it threw off my benefit calculation. From what I've experienced, when you certify on Saturday before a federal holiday Monday, your payment almost always gets pushed to Wednesday. The DOL processes everything on Sunday night, but since banks don't handle ACH transfers on federal holidays, it creates that extra day delay. @Ava Garcia You have to enter all your employer information from scratch - the system doesn t'carry over any employment history from your previous claim. I had to dig up all my employer details again company (names, addresses, dates of employment, reason for separation, etc. for) the past 18 months. The good news is you don t'necessarily need physical W-2s or pay stubs during the filing process itself - they mainly want the basic employment details. Just make sure you have accurate dates and employer contact information. Keep those documents handy though in case they request verification later.
