welcome to ny unemployment hell 🔥 where nothing works and your benefits are always in limbo. been dealing with this system for 4 months and still have problems weekly
No joke. I've started keeping a journal of all the different errors I get each week. Up to 12 different ones now! 💯
this happened to my roomate. ended up being that someone stole his identity and filed a claim before him. took forever to sort out but he got all his backpay eventually.
i hate to be that person but did u check ur spam folder? sometimes the payment notifications go there and the actual deposits might be on a debit card they mailed you (if u didnt set up direct deposit
I got locked out of ID.me completely after too many failed attempts... had to create a whole new account with a different email address. Such a mess.
try using scotch tape over your social security card - sounds weird but it reduces glare and helped mine scan properly. Also maybe check if your camera lens is clean?
My letter said I was getting $410 but when I logged into my account online it showed $425. When I finally got through to someone they fixed it and said there was a calculation error. You might want to double-check your online account too.
for anyone who can't get through to unemployment by phone (which is basically everyone lol) - seriously try claimyr.com - it works and gets you through to an actual person
I keep seeing this recommended. How quickly did you get a callback?
took about 30 mins for me. way better than the 200+ calls i was making everyday trying to get through myself

anyone else notice how hard it is to even check your claim status online these days? the ny unemployment website keeps crashing on me. and when i call i just get a busy signal or an automated message saying to call back later 🤮

Sounds like you need to talk to a real person at unemployment ASAP before your benefits end. Good luck with that tho - their phone system is a joke. After dozens of failed calls I used claimyr.com and finally got through. The rep told me all about my options including how to properly document medical exemptions.
