I had a legitimate issue with my ny unemployment and I couldn't get anyone on the phone for WEEKS. Eventually tried this service called claimyr.com that got me connected to a real agent in about 40 minutes. Talking to a human solved my problem in one call after 3 weeks of getting nowhere. So worth it.
I was confused about this too so I used Claimyr.com to reach an agent (after days of failed calls). It's the week ending October 2nd, and you certify on the 3rd. It was the only way I could talk to a live agent and worth every penny to finally get a straight answer.
Not that I know of specifically for unemployment. I found them through a YouTube video someone posted here a while back: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE
Every time I read a thread like this I'm reminded how BROKEN the ny unemployment system truly is. Other states have clear communication but here we have to play detective just to find out basic info 🤮
EMAIL THEM! seriously. I know it sounds too simple but I emailed explaining my situation and got a callback within 4 days. Use the contact form on their website.
Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but does anyone else think they design the system this way on purpose to discourage ppl from claiming benefits? 🧐
check if she answered ANY certification questions differently in the past few weeks. My payments got held up because I accidentally said I was "unavailable for work" on ONE day when I had a doctor's appointment. That triggered a review that took 3 weeks to clear up.
I know this is annoying but id.me is actually helping reduce the massive fraud happening with unemployment. Something like $2 billion was stolen from NY unemployment alone during the pandemic. But yeah they should definitely speed up the process after verification. It's not fair to make people wait weeks for their money.

anyone else think this whole id.me thing started happening right when the new budget year kicked in? feels like they trying to slow down payments to save money...just saying
