Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. something to keep in mind is that ny unemployment benefits are usually only like 50-60% of your regular income, so even when u get approved ur still gonna be struggling. start looking for a new job NOW, dont wait for these people to maybe possibly call u back someday. they've already shown they don't respect ur time.

Bruh they're 10000% selling that hotel. Same thing happened where I worked. Kept us on the hook for almost 2 years with "renovation" excuses. File for unemployment TODAY and start job hunting.

are you getting both state and federal benefits? the federal supplement might have expired for you. they don't all end at the same time for everyone, depends on when you started.
FYI the extra federal benefits ended ages ago for everyone. That's not what's happening here.

anyone else find it HILARIOUS that ny unemployment can take our money away with zero explanation, but if we make the tiniest mistake on our weekly certification they treat us like we're committing FRAUD? 🤡 the double standard is unreal

lmao good luck. i had claims pending for 4 months. FOUR MONTHS. by the time they paid me i had already found a new job and moved to a different apartment because i couldn't wait for them anymore.
Don't listen to the doom and gloom. Yes, you WILL get paid for weeks you certified before any deadline. I had weeks pending from February that weren't paid until May. The key is getting through to someone who can actually help. I personally used claimyr.com after wasting days on hold and it was worth every penny - agent fixed my issue in 10 minutes once I actually got to talk to someone.

I just came to say the NY unemployment system is a complete JOKE. I've been trying to resolve an issue for MONTHS and can't get anyone on the phone. The fact that we have to worry about normal system adjustments just shows how poorly they communicate with us. It's embarrassing.

the trick with ID.me is that it doesn't work on Safari at ALL. try using Chrome or Firefox and clear your cache/cookies before starting. fixed it for me!
