Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. I see ppl talking about those claimyr people. I was skeptical but I used them last week and they actually got me through to unemployment after I tried for DAYS on my own. The hold music was giving me nightmares 🤣 Just sharing cuz I was in your shoes not long ago.
look at the dates carefully. you got a refund in february of $7,458. that's probably your regular tax refund. the july entry means they're still processing your unemployment tax adjustment. two different things.

i got my unemployment tax refund direct deposited on August 18. Was about $1,200. Never got any notice, it just appeared in my bank account with a weird description from the IRS. So keep an eye on your account!

Federal only. NY state isnt giving any refunds for unemployment taxes as far as I know.
dont even get me started on the ny unemployment website. trying to find ANY useful info there is like trying to find a needle in a haystack while blindfolded 🙄
It's like they deliberately made it confusing so people would give up on getting benefits
my favorite is when they tell you to call for more info but then the automated system just directs you back to the website. classic circle of hell 🤡

Does anyone else feel like the Sept 4 cutoff is coming way too soon? With Delta variant spreading I don't understand why they're ending all the programs. I'm seeing that message too btw, but still got paid.
Write to your representatives and senators! If enough people complain they might extend it again. Worth a shot at least.
i heard they're definitely not extending it this time. talking to an unemployment rep last week, she said they're already preparing for the shutdown of all federal programs.

Because my new job is somewhat unstable and I'm worried about hours getting cut. I was hoping to have unemployment as a backup through September if needed.

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!! Screenshots of your weekly certifications, confirmation numbers, emails - everything! Had to fight for 2 months to get my payments and the only reason I won was because I had proof I'd been certifying all along when they claimed I hadn't.
