If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UPDATE: I called using the Claimyr service that someone suggested, and got through to a real person at the unemployment office. They explained that my Return Transcript doesn't show refund info, and I need the Account Transcript. They also checked my account and confirmed I DO have a refund coming - $743! It should be deposited next week. Thanks everyone for your help!

honestly i think its super unfair that we even have to jump through all these hoops... like ur literally unable to do heavy lifting for medical reasons but the system treats u like ur just being lazy??? the whole thing is rigged against ppl with health issues who want to work but have limitations!!

I feel exactly this way sometimes. It's exhausting trying to navigate all these different systems when you're already stressed about income. I've spent hours researching online and still feel confused about what options I actually qualify for.

One more important point: While pursuing SSI, consider speaking with a disability attorney. Many offer free initial consultations and only get paid if you win your case (usually taking a percentage of your backpay). They dramatically increase approval rates, especially for appeals. For immediate needs, check if your local Department of Social Services offers emergency assistance programs - these can sometimes provide temporary help while you're sorting out longer-term solutions.

Thank you - I'll look into disability attorneys in my area. I hadn't considered emergency assistance either, but that might help bridge the gap while I figure everything else out. I appreciate everyone's suggestions here. Gives me a much clearer path forward than I had yesterday.

I tried that three times last week and it didn't work! I think everyone knows that trick now so the lines are jammed even at that time 😭

Just a final clarification for anyone finding this thread later: - Regular UI: Ends based on your benefit year end date - Extended Benefits: Last week ending August 29, 2025 (must certify by September 5, 2025) - Special pandemic programs: All ended in September 2021 Check your online account to see which program you're currently on. It should show your current program type and benefit year end date on your main dashboard after logging in.

The official processing time for KeyBank UI deposits is within 24 hours of release from NYSDOL, regardless of weekends. However, most deposits are processed much faster, typically within 2-6 hours. Three factors affect availability speed: 1) Time of day the payment was released by NYSDOL, 2) Whether it's your first payment or recurring, and 3) The current processing volume at KeyBank. First-time payments sometimes take longer as the account setup is verified. If the funds don't appear by tomorrow morning, you can check the transaction status on the KeyBank unemployment debit card portal rather than the regular KeyBank banking app.

This is super helpful, thank you! It's not the first payment but it is the first one that wasn't delayed for some reason. I'll check the special unemployment portal instead of the regular app - didn't realize there was a difference!

Regarding career transitions and lower-paying jobs: If you've taken a position that pays substantially less than your previous employment, you may qualify for the NY Wage Subsidy Program that was implemented in January 2025. This temporary program provides supplemental income for up to 26 weeks to workers who were forced to take significant pay cuts (30%+) due to economic conditions. The application can be submitted through your NY.gov account under the "Additional Programs" section. This is separate from unemployment benefits and designed specifically for workers who have found employment but at much lower wages than their previous positions.

I'm so happy for you finding a job! I've been lurking in this group for months and it really has been helpful. Sometimes just knowing others are going through the same struggle makes it a little easier to bear. I was on unemployment for 9 months and just started a new position last month. Took a pay cut too but trying to stay positive. This group was literally my lifeline when my benefits were delayed for months with no explanation. Stay strong everyone still fighting the system!

Congrats on your job too! And you're so right - just knowing you're not alone makes a huge difference. The isolation of being unemployed was almost as bad as the financial stress. Wishing you all the best in your new position!
