If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I went through this same thing last year! What worked for me was creating a 'Professional Development' section on my resume that included any courses, certifications, or skills I worked on during unemployment. You can also list relevant volunteer work or consulting projects. The goal is to show you weren't just sitting around - you were investing in your career growth.

ugh the whole system is so frustrating. they make you jump through hoops with the job search requirements but then you have to worry about explaining why you're unemployed in the first place. it's like a catch-22

I feel this so much. The weekly claims are stressful enough without worrying about how it looks on a resume.

I had trouble getting through to NYS Department of Labor when I needed to verify my claim status last month. The phone lines are always busy and the online system sometimes doesn't update right away. I ended up using a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get connected to an actual agent. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. Made the whole process much less stressful than trying to call dozens of times.

How much does something like that cost? I'm already strapped for cash.

It was worth it for me to avoid the headache of calling all day. The peace of mind knowing I could actually talk to someone was huge.

Just make sure you file as soon as possible after losing your job. There's a waiting week but the sooner you get your claim in the better. And be honest about everything - they'll verify your employment history anyway.

If you're having trouble reaching NYS Department of Labor to get your tax documents or have questions about your benefit amounts, I used claimyr.com last month to actually get through to someone. They have this system that calls for you and gets you connected to a real person. There's a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. Saved me hours of calling and getting busy signals.

That's interesting, never heard of that service before. Did it actually work to get you through?

Yeah it worked really well. I needed to verify some payment dates for my taxes and couldn't get through the normal way. They got me connected within like 20 minutes.

ugh the whole tax thing with unemployment is so confusing every year!! why cant they just make it simple

The NYS Department of Labor system is ridiculous with seasonal workers. I've been doing this for 5 years and they STILL make me jump through hoops every time. Last year they tried to say I wasn't actively seeking work even though I had a return date. Had to appeal and everything.

0 coins

Oh no that sounds stressful! Did you win the appeal?

Same boat here! I work at a beach resort on Long Island and we close October through March. Been collecting seasonal unemployment for 3 years now. Just make sure you keep documenting your job search activities even if it feels pointless.

THE SYSTEM IS SO CONFUSING!! I waited 2 weeks because I didn't know when to apply and then my claim got held up for MONTHS in adjudication. Apparently they questioned why I waited so long to file. Just file immediately - don't overthink it like I did!

omg same thing happened to me, took forever to get through to someone at NYS Department of Labor to explain the delay

I had trouble getting through to NYS Department of Labor by phone when I had questions about filing timing. Ended up using Claimyr to connect with an agent - they have this service where they call you back when they reach someone at the unemployment office. Check out claimyr.com, they even have a video demo showing how it works: https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI. Saved me hours of busy signals and getting hung up on.

Is that service free? I'm about to lose my income so I can't afford to pay for help right now.

They focus on getting you connected rather than charging high fees. Worth checking out their site for the details.
