Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Yeah it worked really well. I needed to verify some payment dates for my taxes and couldn't get through the normal way. They got me connected within like 20 minutes.

The NYS Department of Labor system is ridiculous with seasonal workers. I've been doing this for 5 years and they STILL make me jump through hoops every time. Last year they tried to say I wasn't actively seeking work even though I had a return date. Had to appeal and everything.

THE SYSTEM IS SO CONFUSING!! I waited 2 weeks because I didn't know when to apply and then my claim got held up for MONTHS in adjudication. Apparently they questioned why I waited so long to file. Just file immediately - don't overthink it like I did!

ugh the whole system is so frustrating. they make you jump through hoops with the job search requirements but then you have to worry about explaining why you're unemployed in the first place. it's like a catch-22
