If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

If you're having trouble reaching NYS Department of Labor to discuss your specific situation, I recently discovered this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually gets you through to speak with real agents. They have a demo video at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Saved me hours of trying to call and getting busy signals when I needed to clarify some details about my claim status.

Interesting, I'll check that out if we run into issues with her application. Thanks for sharing!

tell your sister to file asap even if shes not 100% sure. the longer you wait the more weeks of benefits you lose. she can always provide more info during the adjudication process if they need it

Restaurant industry is notorious for pulling this crap. They cut your hours instead of laying you off properly so they don't have to pay into the unemployment system as much. At least NY lets you collect partial benefits unlike some states. Make sure you document everything in case they try to fight your claim later.

That makes sense why they're doing this then. Should I keep records of my old schedule vs the new one?

same thing happened to my cousin but she was working retail not food service, still got approved though so you should be fine

been there done that just go to ny.gov and look for unemployment stuff its not that hard to find

When I applied last year it took forever to get approved because they had to verify my employment history. Make sure all your employer information is exactly right on the application or you'll end up in adjudication hell like I did. NYS Department of Labor is really picky about details.

What kind of employment information do they need exactly? I worked at a few different places in the past year.

honestly not sure about the economics but glad ur getting benefits. make sure u keep filing those weekly claims on time or youll have issues with NYS Department of Labor

Yeah I've been super careful about filing every Sunday night. The last thing I need is my claim getting suspended for missing a deadline.

This reminds me of when I worked at a coffee shop in 2019 and they cut hours after the wage increase. I didn't qualify for unemployment then because I was still working part-time, but it was really stressful trying to make ends meet with reduced hours. The owner was a nice guy but said he literally couldn't afford to keep everyone at full hours. It's a tough situation for everyone involved - workers need living wages but small businesses are struggling too. At least now with your unemployment you have some income while you search for something new.

Good point, I should probably be more optimistic about the job market situation even if the claim process is stressful.

ugh the whole system is so slow regardless of what the unemployment numbers are doing. my cousin waited 5 weeks last year when unemployment was higher and i waited 4 weeks this year. its just bureaucracy being bureaucracy
