One more thing - make sure your mailing address is correct in your account. I've seen people not get their determination letters because Washington ESD had the wrong address on file.
Bottom line: if your claim is approved, you'll know because you'll get the determination letter in the mail, you'll be able to file weekly claims online, and you'll get the KeyBank debit card. Until then, just keep checking your account for any issues that need to be resolved.
Just want to add that if your payment progress status ever disappears or changes to something else unexpectedly, that's when you'd want to contact Washington ESD to make sure there isn't an issue. But as long as it shows payment progress, you're golden.
Congrats on getting through the initial claim process! Payment progress means you've cleared all the hurdles and Washington ESD is sending you money. The first payment is always the most nerve-wracking but you made it through the hard part.
The system usually processes payments overnight Monday into Tuesday. So if you filed Sunday and everything is clean, you should see money Tuesday morning. But like others said, Wednesday is possible too depending on various factors.
One more thing - if you don't get paid when expected, don't panic immediately. Sometimes there are system glitches or processing delays. Give it 24-48 hours before calling.
But if it's been more than 48 hours past your expected payment date, definitely call or use one of those services like Claimyr to get through faster.
One more thing - if you had any union representation at your job, they might be able to help with information about your termination or even representation during the Washington ESD process.
Final update from OP: Just wanted to thank everyone for the advice. My adjudication is still pending but I feel much more confident about my chances now. I've been keeping up with my weekly claims and job search activities. Will update when I hear back from Washington ESD!
If you need to contact Washington ESD for any updates on your case, remember that Claimyr option people mentioned. Saved me a lot of frustration when I was in a similar spot.

Actually one more thing - if you're starting a job that might have a probationary period, you might want to ask Washington ESD about that too. Some people keep their claim open during probation just in case, but I'm not sure what the rules are on that.

•Generally once you start full-time work, your claim ends regardless of probationary periods. If you get let go during probation, you'd need to reopen your claim or file a new one.

•Makes sense. Better to deal with that if it happens rather than try to keep benefits active while working.

For anyone else reading this thread who needs to talk to Washington ESD about work-related questions, I'll mention Claimyr one more time. Really helped me when I was confused about partial work reporting. Their service connects you with Washington ESD agents without the usual phone hassles. Check out claimyr.com if you're having trouble getting through.

•That actually sounds really useful. I've been trying to call Washington ESD for weeks about a different issue.
