Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

Try calling multiple numbers at the same time if you have access to different phones. I use my cell phone and landline simultaneously to double my chances.
That's actually brilliant! I have my cell and my roommate's phone. Going to try that.
Just make sure to hang up one call if you get through on the other. Don't want to waste their time.
Honestly at this point I'm considering that Claimyr service too. I've wasted so many hours trying to call that it would probably save me time and stress in the long run.

That's exactly how I felt when I decided to try it. Sometimes you just need to get through to an actual person to resolve these issues.

One more thing - if you do get laid off, file your claim immediately. Benefits can be backdated but only for a limited time, and there's usually a waiting week before payments start.
Good to know. I assumed you had to wait until your last day of work but sounds like you should file right away.
Exactly. The sooner you file, the sooner the process starts. Don't wait thinking you might find another job quickly.

Just wanted to follow up on the Claimyr service since a few people asked about it. I used it again yesterday to check on a different issue and got connected to a Washington ESD agent in about 20 minutes. Way better than the 3+ hour wait times I used to deal with.
I'm definitely going to try this next time I need to call Washington ESD. The wait times have been absolutely brutal lately.

Just remember that even if you qualify, you still need to file your weekly claims on time and follow all the rules. Missing deadlines can mess up your benefits even if you're totally eligible.

The approval process has gotten more efficient over the years but there are still delays sometimes. If you need to talk to someone at Washington ESD and can't get through, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier might be worth looking into. I used it when I had a complex situation and needed to speak with an actual person.

Bottom line: be honest, file quickly, keep good records, and don't panic if there are delays. The system works but it takes patience. Most people who qualify do get approved eventually.
