If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One last tip - if you ever need to speak with someone at Washington ESD about payment issues or anything else, I can't recommend Claimyr enough. It's so much better than the stress of trying to get through on your own. The peace of mind alone is worth it when you're dealing with unemployment.

I might have to try that if I run into any issues. Thanks for sharing your experience with it.

To summarize for the original poster: File weekly claims by Sunday 11:59 PM, payments typically process Wednesday and arrive Thursday-Friday via direct deposit. First payments may take longer. Keep filing even while claims are pending. Contact ESD if payments are delayed beyond normal timeframes.

Perfect summary! I feel much more confident about the process now. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to help explain everything.

If you're confused about any part of the process, don't hesitate to reach out for help. The system can be complicated but there are resources available.

Good luck with your claim! The process gets easier once you understand how it works.

One last tip - make sure all your employer information is accurate when you file. Any mistakes can cause delays in processing your claim.

I'll double-check everything before submitting. Don't want any unnecessary delays!

Smart approach. It's much easier to get it right the first time than to fix errors later.

If anyone needs help actually navigating the Washington ESD website to set up the withholding, I found their step-by-step guide pretty helpful. It's buried in their FAQ section but it walks you through the whole process.

I'll look for that guide. Thanks for the tip!

Their website is confusing but once you figure out where everything is it's not too bad.

Final thought: Whatever you choose, just make sure you're consistent with it. Don't flip-flop back and forth or you'll create more complications for yourself at tax time.

Good advice. I'll stick with my decision once I make it.

Consistency is definitely key when dealing with taxes and unemployment benefits.

Final thought - consider working with a career counselor or job coach if you can afford it. Sometimes an outside perspective can help identify blind spots in your approach or suggest strategies you hadn't considered. Many offer sliding scale fees for unemployed clients.

That's a good idea. I've been trying to figure this out on my own but maybe professional help would be worth the investment.

Career counselors can be game changers. They see patterns and have insights from working with lots of job seekers.

Good luck OP! This has been a really helpful thread for me too. It's nice to know other people understand the struggle and that there are actual strategies beyond just 'apply to more jobs.

Thanks everyone! I feel so much more hopeful after reading all your advice. Going to start implementing these strategies this week.

Just to close the loop on timing - in my experience it's usually closer to the 7-8 day mark unless there's a holiday or mail issue. The 10 days is more of a worst-case scenario timeframe.

0 coins

That's reassuring since I'm right at the 8 day mark now. Hopefully it shows up in the next day or two!

Update us when it comes! These threads are really helpful for people trying to figure out normal timing vs when to worry.

Absolutely will update! Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice and reassurance.
