One last thing - keep detailed records of all your job search activities. Washington ESD can audit your claim at any time and ask for proof of your work search efforts. Save job postings, applications, contact information, etc.
The whole process is just stressful when you're already dealing with job loss. Try to stay busy with job searching and other stuff so you're not constantly thinking about it.
The Washington ESD mobile app actually sends push notifications when payments are processed, which is pretty convenient.
One more thing to consider - if you do qualify for unemployment, you'll still need to file weekly claims and meet all the regular requirements like job search activities. Don't assume the process will be any easier just because you have special circumstances.
Bottom line - it's possible but complicated. Get everything in writing, keep detailed records, and be prepared for a longer adjudication process. And definitely report all income sources accurately from day one.

Honestly the whole phone system needs an overhaul. It shouldn't be this hard to reach the agency that handles our benefits. But for now, persistence is key - keep calling until you get through.

•Agreed, the system is frustrating. I'll keep trying the main number and might look into that Claimyr service if I can't get through soon.

•That's probably your best bet. Having multiple strategies helps when dealing with Washington ESD.

Just an update - I finally got through yesterday after 5 days of trying. Turns out my claim was flagged for identity verification. Make sure to ask specifically about any flags on your account.

•Good to know! I'll ask about that when I get through. How long did the identity verification take to resolve?

•They said 3-5 business days once I submitted the documents. Still waiting but at least I know what's happening now.
