my cousin works for the treasury departmen and he said they just got behind on processing this week, everything shud be back to normal next week
while we're waiting for these late payments has anyone else noticed the job search requirements are getting stricter?? my case worker said I need 5 work search activities now instead of 3? anyone else???
just got my money network card 2day. wasnt expecting it so soon. activation was easy just followed instructions and money was already on there
For anyone still struggling with this transition, here's a summary of what I've learned: 1. Paper checks are being sent out 2-3 days after your regular payment date 2. Money Network cards are arriving faster than originally announced (many people getting them 7-10 days after the transition) 3. Direct deposit is the most reliable option and can be set up immediately 4. When activating your new card, use the full ZIP+4 code or it may reject your information 5. The cards arrive in very plain envelopes with no obvious markings Despite the poor planning by PA UC, the actual resolution is happening fairly quickly. If you're still having issues after trying these steps, using Claimyr to reach a representative directly is probably your best bet rather than fighting busy signals.
If you do get through to someone, make sure to ask them to add detailed notes to your file about the discrepancy being a simple data entry error. Sometimes getting those notes in your file can help speed up the examiner's review when they get to your case. Also, request that they mark it as financially critical due to your impending bills. They sometimes prioritize cases where there's documented financial hardship.
UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at UC this morning! Used the Claimyr service that was suggested here and got connected to an agent in about 15 minutes. The agent said my review was triggered because my former employer reported slightly different hours than I did on that one week (their 37.5 vs my 37). She said she could see notes that the review was actually completed yesterday but hadn't been processed in the system yet. My payments should release within 2-3 business days including all back weeks! Such a relief after nearly 5 weeks of stress. Thanks everyone for the advice!
ALSO dont forget that they might have changed the banking info for the direct deposits!!! You need to specifically ask the UC office WHERE the fraudulent payments were sent so you can include that in your police report!!!
Any update?? Did you get through to someone? My brothers case took almost 2 months to resolve but at least they stopped the payments right away when he reported it
We used that Claimyr service someone mentioned above and actually got through yesterday! They've flagged the account for fraud investigation and locked it from further claims. Now we're gathering all the employment documentation to prove he was working during those weeks. They said it could take 6-8 weeks to fully resolve but at least the bleeding has stopped. Thanks everyone for all your help!

After reading all the comments, I think your best options are: 1. Contact your state representative (as mentioned above) 2. Try to reach an agent directly either through persistent calling or a service 3. Have your husband check with his former employer to ensure they didn't contest the claim One thing to keep in mind - sometimes claims get flagged if there was ANY income reported during the waiting week or subsequent weeks. Even a final paycheck or vacation payout can trigger a review. Did your husband receive any final payments after his last day?

•Yes! He did receive his final paycheck plus payout for unused vacation time about 2 weeks after his last day. He reported that on his initial application and in his weekly claims. Could that be causing the hold? Would the system eventually sort that out on its own or does he need to speak to someone?

•That's very likely the issue! The system often flags claims with separation payments for manual review. The examiner needs to determine how to allocate that vacation payout - sometimes they count it as a lump sum, other times they spread it across weeks. He definitely needs to speak with an examiner to get this resolved. It won't fix itself automatically.

My cousins husband had his claim stuck for weeks too they finally got it fixed when they went in person to the PA CareerLink office? Maybe try that if you have one nearby they can sometimes help or at least tell you what's wrong

•CareerLink staff can provide some general guidance, but they don't have direct access to the UC claim system. They often just end up calling the same UC number that claimants call. However, they might help identify if there's something obvious missing from the claim that's causing the delay. Worth a try if other options aren't working.
