To answer your earlier question - yes, they did backpay me for all the waiting weeks once my claim was approved. So at least you'll get that money eventually, though I know that doesn't help with immediate bills. And I forgot to mention - make sure you set up your direct deposit info in the system right away if you haven't already!
anyone else notice how they always seem to approve right AFTER you call them??? like they see ur number and suddenly approve ur claim lol
There's actually a logical explanation for this. When you call, the agent typically reviews your claim while you're on the phone. If they see it's ready for processing but just hasn't been reviewed yet, they can often complete that review during your call. It's not that they're withholding approval until you call; it's that your call prompts the review that would have happened eventually.
u can also check ur card status online if u go to the money network website and register i think. my friend did that when his card was late
For those still waiting on their PA UC debit cards, here's what you need to know about the process: 1. Initial cards are typically mailed 1-2 business days after your first payment is processed 2. Standard delivery timeframe is 7-10 business days (not calendar days) 3. Rural areas may experience slightly longer delivery times 4. If you've reached 14 business days without receiving your card, contact Money Network at 888-233-5916 5. When calling, have your full name, address, last 4 of SSN, and claim confirmation number ready 6. They can verify if the card was mailed, returned, or needs to be reissued 7. Replacement cards can be expedited for delivery within 3-5 business days if needed Remember that Money Network handles the cards, not the regular UC service center, so direct your inquiries to them specifically for faster resolution.
have u tried checking ur email spam folder? they sent me a special verification link that went to my spam and i almost missed it. might be worth checking
UPDATE: It finally worked! I followed the advice to try early morning (5:30am) using Safari instead of Chrome, and turned off my ad blocker. The verification went through in seconds! Thanks everyone for your help. For anyone else having this issue - try different times of day and different browsers!
my brother got his money like 2 days after calling his state rep last month so maybe ur rep just sucks?? try calling a different rep maybe?
Just coming back to check - any updates on your situation? Did contacting your rep again with the hardship language help?
YES! Finally got a breakthrough! I called my rep again yesterday using the exact "financial hardship" language suggested here, and uploaded my late rent notice. Got a call this morning from an actual examiner who went through my 1099 info with me. She said my claim should be processed within 48 hours. I'm not celebrating until I see the money, but this is the first real progress in 7 weeks. Will update when/if the payment hits my account!

Just a heads up, when you finally get your backpay, they'll withhold taxes if you elected for that when you filed. Make sure you're prepared for that - the amount might be less than you're expecting if you chose to have taxes withheld.

Good point. I did elect to have taxes withheld when I applied, so I'm expecting about 10% less than the full amount. I just hope something happens soon.
