try calling ur state rep!!!!! they helped my cousin when his money was stuck for like 2 weeks. sometimes they can push it through faster
This is actually good advice. State representatives' offices often have dedicated staff who can escalate unemployment issues. Their constituent services can sometimes get results when normal channels fail. Just make sure you have your claim ID number and all relevant dates ready when you contact them.
UPDATE: Just checked my card at 6am and the money FINALLY showed up!!! 😅 That's 5 days total after filing my claim and 3 days after getting the "payment processed" email. No explanation, no pending transaction, it just appeared. Guess I'll need to adjust my bill payment schedule going forward to account for these delays. Thanks everyone for the advice and commiseration!
Glad to hear it came through! This seems to be the new normal with Money Network unfortunately. Better to expect 5 days and be pleasantly surprised if it's faster.
The EXACT same thing happened to me last month! Payment date was Tuesday but didn't hit my account till Thursday!! I called PA UC like 50 times and couldn't get through to ask about it. Then I found this service called Claimyr that got me through to an agent in like 20 minutes. They have a demo video at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 showing how it works. The agent told me payments can take up to 3 business days depending on your bank even though the dashboard shows it as paid. Saved me so much stress knowing it wasn't lost! Their website is claimyr.com if you need to talk to someone about your payment.
@questioning_it - It's actually legit. I was suspicious too but they just help you bypass the phone queue. Was worth it when I had an urgent issue that needed fixing before my benefit year ended.
Thanks everyone! My payment just hit my account this morning, so it took exactly one business day after the payment date. I'll definitely remember that Claimyr service if I run into problems later though.
congrats!! so happy for you!!
Great news! Make sure you continue filing your weekly claims on time while waiting for the payment to process. The back pay should arrive within 2-3 business days.
This is why I hate the Money Network card system. When I first got unemployment back in 2020 we could do direct deposit to our regular bank accounts. Then they switched to this stupid card system that ALWAYS has issues. Last month my card was randomly frozen for "suspicious activity" which was literally just me buying groceries. Took 4 days to fix.
Actually, you can still set up direct deposit to your regular bank account instead of using the Money Network card. Log into your PA UC account, go to Payment Information, and select the Direct Deposit option. You'll need your bank routing and account numbers. Any new payments will go directly to your bank instead of the card after that's set up.
Anybody know if this delay thing is gonna happen again next week? My kids birthday is Wednesday and now I'm worried about planning anything...
These system delays are usually one-time issues that get resolved. If your payments normally come consistently on the same day each week, it should go back to normal next week. But as others have suggested, direct deposit to your regular bank might be more reliable than the Money Network card.

WHY does PA make EVERYTHING so complicated?? I swear they do this on purpose to stop people from getting their money. I had to call 47 TIMES before someone picked up to help with my card issue. The whole system is broken and nobody cares!!

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the exact same issue right now with my Money Network card saying my account is unregistered. Been trying to figure it out all morning.

•Yes! Finally got it working yesterday. The trick of pressing 0 twice worked to get me to a human. Turns out there was a typo in my date of birth in their system that was causing the verification to fail. The rep fixed it and walked me through the registration process. Now I can access everything online too. Definitely keep trying to reach someone directly!
