If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

For anyone dealing with CareerLink frustrations, here's what worked for me: I attended one of their virtual workshops (counts as a work search activity!) and asked the presenter directly about the expired job listings. She explained that they're required to keep listings up for a certain period even after the position is filled, but gave us tips on identifying the most current ones. She also shared her email and said we could contact her directly for current listings - way more helpful than the website!

how do u find the virtual workshops? i looked on the website but couldnt find any scheduled

To answer the question about virtual job fairs: According to current PA UC guidelines, a virtual job fair counts as ONE work search activity, regardless of how many employers you speak with. However, if you follow up with specific employers after the fair with formal applications, each of those can count as separate activities in subsequent weeks. Also, attending a CareerLink workshop counts as one activity, posting your resume on an employment website counts as one, and creating a profile on a job search site counts as one. You need a minimum of two per week, but it's always good to do more.

Thank you for the clear explanation! I've got a virtual workshop scheduled for tomorrow, and I'll make sure to do at least one more activity this week to hit the minimum requirement. Really appreciate everyone's help with navigating this confusing system.

My neighbor went thru something similar and what really helped was having written statements from coworkers who witnessed the harassment. Do you have anyone who would be willing to write a statement for you?

That's a great idea! I have two coworkers who witnessed a lot of the bad behavior and I think they'd be willing to write something. I'll reach out to them today.

Just to clarify something important: if the examiner determines you quit without good cause, they will NOT make you repay the benefits you received while on reduced hours before quitting. Those benefits were properly paid based on your eligibility at that time. The quit determination only affects benefits going forward from your last day of work.

Thank you SO much for clarifying that. I was having nightmares about having to pay back thousands I don't have. At least that's one less thing to worry about.

This happened back in January too. I remember because my car payment was due and I had to call and explain the delay. PA Treasury does these maintenance periods every few months. My roommate got her deposit already though - she has the Money Network card instead of direct deposit.

0 coins

Thanks for sharing that. Maybe I should switch to the Money Network card if this is going to be a regular thing. Do you know if there's a way to see when these maintenance periods are scheduled in advance?

Just got off the phone with UC (finally!). They confirmed it's a Treasury processing delay affecting all direct deposits that would normally go out Tuesday. Everything should be deposited by Thursday morning. The rep also mentioned that there will be a similar maintenance period in July, so mark your calendars. Hope this helps!

thx for the update!! good to know about july too

This is super helpful, thank you! I'll plan ahead for the July maintenance too.

Let us know how it goes! And don't give up - the system is DESIGNED to be confusing and make you want to quit trying. That's how they save money. KEEP CALLING and document EVERYTHING!

Quick update for anyone finding this thread with similar issues: PA UC is currently experiencing higher than normal processing times. If your weeks are showing as "in progress" for more than 21 days, you should call the service center. A common reason for delays is income verification, especially if you had variable income or worked for multiple employers during your base year. Having your employment and income documentation ready when you call can help expedite the process.

UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at UC today! You were right - they had an "income verification issue" on my claim. The rep said they should release the payment for those other weeks in 3-5 business days. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

UPDATE: I FINALLY got through to someone! Turns out it was a system glitch because my claim had hit exactly 26 weeks total (counting the weeks I didn't claim when I briefly had a job in February). The rep said sometimes when claims hit certain milestones, the system automatically does a review and can incorrectly apply a waiting week during that process. She removed the waiting week designation and said my payment should process normally within 2-3 business days. She also mentioned they're seeing this happen more frequently lately and are working on a fix. So if this happens to anyone else, keep calling until you get through - it's definitely an error they can fix! Thanks everyone for your help!

glad u got it fixed!!! the system is so broken smh

THIS is why I tell everyone to DOCUMENT EVERYTHING with PA UC! Take screenshots of every confirmation page, write down what questions you answered and how. The system makes so many mistakes and then YOU have to prove what happened!
