Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. The whole unemployment system is a JOKE. They make you jump through ridiculous hoops just to get benefits you already paid into through your taxes. And don't even get me started on how long adjudication takes if they have any questions about your eligibility!
I feel you on the adjudication thing. Mine took 6 weeks and they never explained why.

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS A MESS! I've been waiting 6 weeks for my card and nobody can tell me why. The NYS Department of Labor just keeps saying 'processing delays' but won't give any real timeline. Meanwhile I'm about to lose my apartment because I can't access MY OWN MONEY.
If it's been that long, you should definitely call the KeyBank customer service line directly. Sometimes there are address verification issues that hold up card delivery.

The key thing is whether it was misconduct or not. Being late can be tricky - if you had warnings and kept doing it anyway, they might consider it willful misconduct. But if there were circumstances beyond your control or it wasn't that serious, you could still qualify.
