If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I had major issues getting through to NYS Department of Labor when I needed to discuss my disqualification appeal. The phone lines are always busy and the online system doesn't let you explain complex situations very well. I ended up using this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me actually reach a real person at NYS Department of Labor. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. It was really helpful for explaining my specific circumstances to an adjudicator.

Thanks for the suggestion! Did they help you get your benefits approved after quitting?

The system is so frustrating!! I quit my job because my boss was making racist comments and it took MONTHS to get approved. NYS Department of Labor really puts you through the wringer even when you have a legitimate reason. Just be prepared for a long fight.

If you're having trouble reaching NYS Department of Labor to check on your appeal status or get clarification about the process, I used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual agent. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Really saved me hours of trying to call and getting busy signals.

That's interesting, I've been trying to call for days to ask about my appeal deadline. How does that service work exactly?

sounds too good to be true but if it actually works might be worth checking out

Just want to say good luck with your appeal! I went through this last month and it was nerve wracking but turned out fine. The whole process took about 6 weeks from when I filed the appeal to getting the final decision.

Same boat here, got through adjudication but the weekly amount is a joke. My rent alone is $1800 and they're giving me $462 per week. How is that supposed to solve anything??

The unemployment system was really designed as temporary income replacement while you find new work, not a long-term solution to unemployment as a broader economic issue. But there are additional resources - SNAP benefits, utility assistance programs, and some counties have emergency rental assistance that you can stack with your UI benefits. The key is using the time to build skills or connections that lead to better employment than what you had before.

I was having trouble reaching NYS Department of Labor to get my eligibility questions answered - kept getting busy signals and long hold times. Found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual agent. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Really helped me get my questions answered about my specific situation instead of guessing.

How much does that cost? Seems like you should be able to reach them for free.

Worth it when you can't get through any other way and need answers about your claim. The NYS Department of Labor phone system is just overwhelmed most of the time.

Don't let them intimidate you with all the requirements! I've been through this system multiple times and they make it sound way more complicated than it is. File your claim and let them sort out the details. Worst case they say no and you're in the same position you're in now.

That's actually really reassuring. I was worried about filing if I wasn't sure I qualified.

honestly this whole system is so confusing... why can't they just give straight answers about this stuff?? I've been trying to get through to someone at NYS Department of Labor for weeks about a different issue and their phone lines are always busy. It's like they don't want people to actually understand the rules.

I actually found a service called Claimyr that helped me get through to an actual NYS Department of Labor agent when I couldn't reach them myself. Check out claimyr.com - they have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. Really saved me a lot of frustration when I needed to verify some details about my claim.

Your dad should definitely apply for both. At 62 with that much work history, he's earned those benefits. Just document everything carefully and be prepared to explain his job search efforts if they ask. The worst they can say is no to the unemployment, but he'll still have the social security coming in.
