If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

i feel your pain man. the whole unemployment system is set up to make you fail. took me 9 weeks to get my first payment after getting laid off. almost ended up homeless. claimyr.com was the only thing that finally worked after weeks of trying to call myself.

another day, another company promising to fix the unfixable unemployment system lol

I get the skepticism but this actually worked for me. After weeks of nothing, I got my backpay in 3 days after talking to an agent. Sometimes you just gotta try something different.

Here's my comprehensive guide to solving this exact problem (I'm a former unemployment counselor): 1) First, continue certifying weekly even though nothing shows up 2) You need to specifically reach a Tier 2 Claims Examiner - regular agents cannot help with ID.me verification issues 3) When calling, use specific terminology: "I need help resolving a pending identity verification hold that's preventing my payments from processing" 4) If you can't get through on the phone, try using claimyr.com - it's a service that will wait on hold and get you a callback when an agent is available 5) As a last resort, contact your state representative's office - they have special contacts at DOL 6) Once resolved, you'll typically receive all back payments within 2-3 business days The key thing to understand is that after ID.me verification, there's an internal DOL verification that must be manually cleared. This is especially true for claims that involve quitting due to reduced hours, as they require additional review. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to update that I was having this same issue and I finally got it resolved today. What worked was using claimyr.com to get through to a rep (seriously tried calling myself for WEEKS with no luck). The agent confirmed there was a hold after ID.me that needed manual clearance. They fixed it while I was on the phone and I could immediately see all my weeks pending in my account! If you're stuck in this situation definitely check out claimyr - talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast.

u in NYC? go IN PERSON to 375 Hudson Street. they have walk-in help and the wait is usually under 2 hours. way better than phone. bring all ur docs and they can usually fix payment issues on the spot.

This office is temporarily closed for renovations until June. They moved services to Brooklyn but it's appointment only now.

dang really? that sucks, it was so useful 😠 classic ny unemployment to close their most helpful office

Have you tried messaging them on Twitter? Sounds weird but I DMed @NYSLabor with my issue and they actually responded and helped fix my claim. Worth a shot if you're desperate.

I don't have Twitter but maybe I'll create an account just for this. Getting pretty desperate at this point!

NY Unemployment Email Approved My Claim but Agent Denies It - 5 Weeks No Payment Despite Official DOL Approval Letter

I've been dealing with this ny unemployment nightmare since August 15th. Haven't gotten a single payment yet even though I've been claiming every week like they told me to. Last Thursday I got both a text AND an email saying my claim was approved and I'll be getting paid soon! The email from the New York State Department of Labor literally said "Thank you for your patience. We have determined that your claim can now be paid. If you have not already, you will soon receive a letter in the mail telling you how much you will receive each week. If you provided bank account information, your benefits will be deposited there. If you did not provide bank account information, you will receive a debit card from KeyBank by mail within three weeks." The email also instructed: "It is important that you continue to certify every week to claim your benefits. You can certify for weekly benefits in one of two ways: The easiest way is online. Please go to www.labor.ny.gov/signin and sign into your account. From your 'Account Overview' page, click on the 'Unemployment Services' button, then 'Certify to Claim Your Weekly Benefits Here' and follow the instructions." So this morning I called to check on the status since they owe me 5 payments already. The agent had the nerve to tell me they NEVER sent that email and I'm still "under review"?? I kept asking what exactly was being reviewed and they couldn't give me a straight answer. I literally have the official email from them right in front of me! The header clearly shows "WE ARE YOUR DOL NEW YORK STATE OF OPPORTUNITY Department of Labor" with "Dear New Yorker:" at the top of the message. How can they say one thing in writing then tell me something completely different on the phone? Has anyone else dealt with this kind of confusing mess? I'm getting desperate here. I've been following their instructions to certify every week, I've logged into my account as directed, followed all the steps, and still nothing. Why would they send an official communication saying my claim is approved and then deny it over the phone?

I couldn't get anywhere with regular calls, but I used claimyr.com to actually get through to someone who could help. My claim was stuck in the exact same way - approved but not paying out. Turns out there was a secondary review that needed to be cleared. Worth checking out if you're desperate.

did you have to provide any personal info to that site? seems sketchy

0 coins

No personal info needed! It just calls the unemployment line for you and connects you when an agent picks up. Saved me from hours on hold and the agent I got actually fixed my issue.

omg stop calling and just TAG THEM ON TWITTER!! seriously the social media team actually gets stuff done. Idk why but it worked for me when nothing else did.

NY Unemployment claim ends 8/1/2021 - Need to file new claim or recertify? $137.70 penalty on my account

My benefit year is ending on August 2, 2021 and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. I started receiving unemployment back in October 2020 after getting laid off from my restaurant job. I'm looking at my unemployment information right now: Name: Andrew Wils Start/Effective Date: 07/27/2020 Benefit Year Ending Date: 08/01/2021 Weekly Benefit Amount: $448.00 Maximum Amount Payable: $18,400.00 Effective Days Remaining: 0 Amount you owe for overpaid benefits: $0.00 Amount you owe for penalties: $137.70 Total amount you owe: $137.70 I'm really confused because even though my payment history was showing I had about 50 effective days remaining, now when I look at my account details it says I have 0 effective days remaining. And my weekly benefit amount is showing as $448.00, not the $296.00 I thought I was getting. I also noticed I have a penalty amount of $137.70 that I have to pay back from when I accidentally reported my hours wrong a few months ago. At least there's no additional overpayment amount showing. Does anyone know if I'm supposed to keep certifying weekly or if I need to file a completely new claim once my BYE date passes? My benefit year ending date is August 1, 2021, which is in just a few days. I've tried calling but can't get through to anyone who can help. The website is super confusing about this. I don't want to mess anything up and end up owing more money or having my benefits stop. Will they automatically roll me over to a new benefit year since I have a zero balance now? Or do I need to reapply completely? I'm worried because I still need this income while I'm trying to find steady work again.

Does anyone know if there's a way to check how many effective days you have left without waiting for the mail? The website isnt showing me any of that info 🤔

0 coins

Go to payment history, then look at the most recent payment. It should show days remaining.

0 coins

Thanks I'll try that!

0 coins

Just be glad ur BYE date is only in September. Mine was in May and I've been stuck in pending purgatory since then. Can't reach anyone, website gives me errors, and I'm about to be evicted. NY unemployment is a disaster.

Yeah I've tried everything. My state senator's office is "looking into it" but it's been 3 weeks of "looking" with no results.

Honestly try claimyr.com - it's the only thing that worked for me after months of trying. Being able to actually talk to someone changed everything.
