Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. call them!!! I had a similar situation and after waiting 6 weeks I finally called the IRS. Turns out there was a problem with my SSN formatting that was easy to fix but would have held up my return indefinitely if I hadn't called. Used claimyr.com to get through quickly instead of waiting on hold for 3 hours.
don't stress about WMR - i've found the IRS2Go app is much more reliable than the website version. For some reason it updates more frequently and doesn't give as many errors. Maybe try that instead?

Yes, it really works! It's not a scam at all. It just helps you understand what's actually happening with your return based on your transcript codes. Way better than trying to google every code and piece things together yourself.

If you have a tax advocate in your area, contact them! They can often speed things up or at least give you a straight answer about what's happening. Totally free service too.
Tax advocates won't touch your case unless it's been over 30 days with no movement or you can prove financial hardship.
That's not entirely true. I got help after just 2 weeks because I was about to be evicted and needed my refund. They can make exceptions for hardship cases.

When you say "verified yourself online" - do you mean you created an IRS account or do you mean you had to go through ID verification because your return was flagged? Two very different things.

Then you're totally fine! That's just standard account creation, not extra verification. Your return will process normally.
No one can really predict what the IRS will do - they're completely overwhelmed and understaffed. BUT if you want REAL answers instead of guesswork, try using taxr.ai - you upload your transcript and it tells you exactly what's happening with your return, if there are any issues, and what you need to do.
