Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check all your info is correct online 2. Upload any additional docs they might need (even if they haven't asked) 3. Call early in the morning (like 7:59 am) 4. If you can't get through, try contacting your local representative 5. Be persistent! It took me about 3 weeks to go from pending to approved. Don't lose hope!
Pro tip: if you can, try calling from a different phone number. Sometimes if they see you've been calling a lot from one number, they might filter you out. Also, don't forget to check your spam folder for emails!
Guys I finally got through today after 2 months of trying! Keep pushing, it'll happen eventually. Sending good vibes to everyone still struggling 🙏
Anyone else notice that payments seem to come through faster if you file on a Tuesday? Or am I just imagining things? 🤔
LPT: Keep a detailed log of all your calls, who you spoke to, and what was said. It'll help if you need to escalate your case later on.
Guys, I've been dealing with EDD for months now and I've learned a few tricks. Here's what I've found works best: 1. Call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and be ready to dial at 7:59 AM. 2. If you can't get through, keep redialing. It's annoying, but persistence pays off. 3. Use the online portal as much as possible. Sometimes you can resolve issues without calling. 4. If you do get a callback scheduled, make sure you're in a quiet place with good cell reception. 5. Have all your documents ready before the call. They might ask for claim numbers, dates, etc. 6. Be polite but firm. The person on the other end is probably dealing with angry people all day. 7. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes work miracles. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. 💪

Anyone else feel like they're screaming into the void when dealing with EDD? I swear, it's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get help. 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 I'm convinced there's just one person working there, and they're on permanent lunch break.

•It's a feature, not a bug. They hope we'll just give up and go away.

Hey OP, quick question - did you send your paperwork through regular mail or certified? Might be worth resending via certified mail so you can track it. Also, have you checked your online account for any updates? Sometimes they update there without sending a notification.

•I sent it regular mail like an idiot 🤦♂️ Definitely gonna use certified next time. And yeah, I've been checking my online account obsessively - no updates there either. Thanks for the suggestions though!
