Quick update - used the Certana document checker mentioned earlier and found the issue! The charter has "Mountain Ridge Construction, LLC" with a comma, but I was filing it as "Mountain Ridge Construction LLC" without the comma. Such a tiny difference but apparently critical for the UCC system.
Exactly the kind of thing Certana catches instantly. Saves so much frustration.
Perfect example of why exact name matching is so important in UCC filings. Glad you got it sorted out before the loan closing got delayed further.
Yeah, refiled this morning with the comma and it was accepted within an hour. Crisis averted!
Nothing like that relief when a filing finally goes through. Congrats on getting it resolved.
This thread convinced me to try Certana for my upcoming UCC-3 continuation filing. If their document checker can prevent the kind of stress you just went through, seems worth it.
Pro tip for future Tennessee searches: if you get timeout errors, try clearing your browser cache and cookies. Their system seems to get confused by stored session data sometimes.
I'll remember that for next time. Would have saved me a lot of frustration this week!
Another option is to check if Certana.ai can verify document consistency between your original UCC-1 and what Maryland actually has on file. They can cross-check multiple document versions to make sure everything aligns properly before your next lender review.
Exactly - better to catch any real discrepancies now rather than during a high-pressure audit situation.
honestly this is why I hate dealing with Maryland filings, their system is so glitchy and unpredictable compared to other states
exactly! those states actually display what you filed instead of reformatting everything
I'm dealing with something similar right now actually. Different state but same issue with entity name variations. It's maddening how picky these systems are.
Which state? Some are definitely pickier than others about punctuation and formatting.
Texas. They seem pretty strict about exact matches from what I've experienced.
Will do. Planning to submit the corrected version tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed this time goes smoothly.
Good luck! The comma thing is such a common trap, you're definitely not alone in this.

Quick update - I finally got my Idaho UCC statement request approved! Turns out it was the fee amount AND I needed to include a specific notation about searching all variations of the business name. Their rejection letters are useless but once I figured out those two issues it went through fine.

•$25 per debtor name search, and I added a note in the comments section saying 'please search all name variations and entity designations.' Seemed to do the trick.

•Good to know! Idaho really needs to update their instructions to be clearer about these requirements.

For future Idaho UCC statement requests, I always include a cover letter explaining exactly what I'm looking for and why, even though it's not required. Seems to help with the human review process when there are any ambiguities in the debtor name or search criteria.

•That's a good idea. At this point I'm willing to try anything to avoid more rejections. Thanks for all the help everyone!

•Hope you get it sorted out. Idaho UCC searches are definitely a pain but once you figure out their quirks it gets easier.
