If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UPDATE: Just filed my claim online. Thanks everyone for the encouragement and advice. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly but at least now I know what to expect if it doesn't.

You did the right thing. Remember to file your weekly claims even while it's being reviewed.

Hope it works out better for you than it did for me. The process sucks but you might get lucky.

this whole thread is making me realize I should have applied when I got fired 3 months ago... ugh probably too late now

0 coins

It's probably too late to get benefits for those past months, but you could still apply if you're still unemployed. Better late than never.

0 coins

yeah I found another job but it's part time and pays way less. so frustrating.

0 coins

At $18/hour, you'd hit your weekly benefit limit pretty fast. If your WBA is $500, that's about 28 hours max. But you also have to stay under 32 hours for the availability requirement. So realistically, you're looking at 25-28 hours max.

0 coins

That's actually perfect for what I need. Thank you for doing the math!

Just remember to factor in any other income too, like gig work or side jobs.

0 coins

The bottom line is Washington ESD wants you to work, but they don't want you to become dependent on partial benefits. The rules are designed to push you toward full-time employment. Keep that in mind when planning your hours.

0 coins

That makes sense. I'm hoping this part-time work leads to full-time eventually.

0 coins

That's the ideal outcome. Use the part-time work as a stepping stone, not a permanent solution.

0 coins

If you're really strapped for cash, you might want to look into gig work or temporary jobs while waiting. Just make sure to report any income on your weekly claims.

0 coins

I was thinking about that. Do I need to report even small amounts like $50 from a one-day gig?

0 coins

Yes, report everything. Washington ESD will reduce your benefits based on what you earn, but it's better than getting hit with an overpayment later.

Just to follow up on the Claimyr thing - I know some people are skeptical about using third-party services, but honestly it saved me so much time and frustration. Sometimes you just need to talk to a real person to get answers, and this was the only way I could actually get through.

I'm definitely going to keep that in mind if I run into any issues. Thanks for sharing your experience!

don't forget about food banks and community resources while you're job hunting

0 coins

Good point. I should probably look into those before I really need them.

211 is a good number to call for local assistance programs

0 coins

To summarize the main options when regular UI exhausts: 1) Double-check you've used all 26 weeks, 2) Look into WorkSource retraining programs, 3) Apply for other assistance like SNAP, 4) Consider part-time work with possible partial UI, 5) Check for local emergency assistance programs. Extended Benefits aren't currently available in Washington.

0 coins

Great summary. The key is to start exploring options before benefits actually end rather than waiting.

0 coins

Wish someone had told me about these options when my benefits ran out 6 months ago!

0 coins

One more thing - if you get a letter about any kind of hearing or appeal deadline, take it seriously! Those deadlines are firm and if you miss them you lose your chance to fight any negative decisions.

0 coins

Hopefully I won't need to deal with appeals, but good to know. Thanks for all the help everyone!

0 coins

Good luck with everything! The process seems overwhelming at first but it gets easier once you get into the routine. File that initial claim as soon as possible - you can't get benefits for weeks before you apply.

Definitely filing today. This thread has been incredibly helpful, thank you all so much!
