One last tip - if you have any questions about your specific situation that the website can't answer, Claimyr really is the way to go for actually talking to Washington ESD. I tried calling on my own for weeks and got nowhere.
Several people have mentioned Claimyr now. I'll definitely keep that in mind if I run into any issues with my claim.
For what it's worth, I drove to the Seattle office last month and they do have a small lobby area where you can use computers to access your account, but the staff there really can't help with specific claim issues. They basically just supervise you using the same website you can access from home.
ugh this whole thing is giving me anxiety. i thought unemployment was supposed to help not create more financial problems
This whole thread should be pinned somewhere. So much better info than what you get from Washington ESD directly about payment timing.
Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! Sounds like Tuesday/Wednesday is the standard timeline and it's pretty consistent once you get in the system. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.

The appeals process saved my butt last year. I was denied initially but won on appeal. Definitely worth fighting if you think the denial was wrong. Don't give up!

•That's encouraging to hear! How long did it take to get your back pay after you won?

•About 2 weeks after the decision. They deposited all the back pay at once, which was a huge relief.

Final thought - even if you're not sure you have a strong case, it's often worth appealing anyway. The worst thing that happens is they uphold the original decision, but you might be surprised and win.

•You're right. I have nothing to lose by trying. Thanks everyone for all the advice and encouragement!

•Exactly! And sometimes the employer doesn't even show up to contest it, which makes it much easier to win.
