Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. The bottom line is you need to be completely transparent with both agencies. Don't try to hide your disability from Washington ESD or hide your work availability from the disability office. Honesty is the only way to avoid problems down the road.
That's my plan. I'd rather be denied upfront than have to pay back benefits later.
Smart approach. The paperwork is a pain but it's worth it to do everything above board.

Once you get through the initial setup it's mostly just filing your weekly claims. The hardest part is understanding the benefit calculation upfront.

Make sure to gather all your employment info before starting. You'll need employer names, addresses, dates of employment, and reason for separation.

Quick question - anyone know if the Washington ESD offices are doing in-person appointments again? I'm more of a face-to-face person when dealing with complicated stuff like this.
Most stuff is still online or by phone. In-person is usually only for specific situations or if you really can't do it online.
That's what I figured. Guess I'll have to figure out the online system like everyone else.

My advice is to apply ASAP because even if you qualify, there's always a waiting week before benefits start. Plus if there are any issues to resolve, you want to get the process started as soon as possible.

For what it's worth, I think you have a decent chance of approval based on what you've described. 8 months of steady work shows good work history, and attendance issues without other misconduct factors usually don't disqualify people. Just be prepared for possible adjudication delays.
