The unpredictability is the worst part. I wish Washington ESD would just give us a definitive answer on timing instead of making us guess.
Tuesday morning deposits are standard but I've had mine come as late as Thursday when there were technical issues on Washington ESD's end. Always have a backup plan!
The most important thing is to file as soon as possible and then stay on top of your weekly claims. Don't let anything slide because it's hard to catch up later.
For what it's worth, I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier when I had issues with my adjudication process. Actually worked pretty well for getting through to an ESD agent who could explain my claim status.
The whole tax situation with unemployment is confusing enough without false rumors floating around. Stick to official sources like IRS.gov and ESD's website for accurate info.
The biggest improvement is probably the real-time updates. In the old system, you'd submit paperwork and have no idea what was happening until you got a letter weeks later. Now you can log into SAW and see exactly where your claim stands.
Overall I think we're much better off now despite the problems. The old system was slow, inconvenient, and you had no visibility into what was happening with your claim. At least now we have options like online filing, real-time status updates, and services like Claimyr to help when you need to reach an agent.
Thanks everyone for the perspective! Makes me feel better about dealing with my current adjudication issue knowing how much worse it used to be.
Same here. I'm definitely going to try Claimyr to get through to someone about my claim status.

The job search requirements are important too. You need to make at least 3 job search contacts per week and keep a log. This doesn't affect your benefit amount but you need to meet the requirements to keep getting benefits.

•I've been applying to jobs but haven't been keeping a formal log. Should I start documenting everything now?

•Yes, definitely start keeping detailed records. Washington ESD can audit your job search activities and if you don't have proper documentation, they can disqualify you from benefits.

One thing that helped me was setting up direct deposit for my unemployment benefits. Payments come faster than waiting for a debit card or check in the mail.

•How do you set that up? Through the Washington ESD website?

•Yes, you can set it up when you file your claim or add it later through your online account. Just need your bank routing and account numbers.
