did u have to pay any of that money back??? I heard they sometimes make u pay tax on it later or something???
My situation is completely different but I'm on month 3 of adjudication for a stupid ID verification issue. This system is just ridiculous. So happy for you though! That's a nice chunk of change to finally get!
Has anyone else noticed that these "glitches" seem to happen right before holiday weekends or at the end of quarters? I swear they do this on purpose to delay payments and save money. My claim showed adjudication briefly last December right before Christmas and then again at the end of March. Both times it disappeared but my payments were delayed by "processing issues" for a week each time.
While I understand your frustration, there's no evidence that ESD deliberately creates system glitches to delay payments. End-of-quarter and pre-holiday periods often involve system maintenance and updates, which can cause temporary display issues. These technical problems aren't targeted at claimants but are simply the result of outdated government IT infrastructure trying to handle complex benefit systems.
Update: I just called ESD about this issue (finally got through after trying for 3 days). The agent confirmed it's a known display issue in their system and said as long as the adjudication status disappears after logging out/back in and doesn't return, there's nothing to worry about. She said they're working on fixing it but no timeline for when it'll be resolved. Hope this helps others seeing the same problem!
Also, make sure you understand how ESD calculates deductions for part-time work. Many people don't realize you can work part-time and still get partial benefits. For every $3 you earn, your weekly benefit amount is reduced by about $1 (after the first $50 which doesn't count against you). So you might not owe back the full amount of benefits you received during those weeks. When you talk to ESD, ask them to explain exactly how they're calculating the overpayment amount.
For future reference (for yourself and others reading this thread), here's how income reporting works with ESD: You must report ANY earnings during the week you earned them, not when you get paid. Even if it's just a few hours or a single gig job. Then ESD applies their formula to determine if you still qualify for partial benefits. This is one of the most common mistakes people make with unemployment claims.
this happened to me to. i waited 9 WEEKS for my claim!!! the system is broken nobody cares about us regular ppl
Back to your original question about moderation - I did find an email address for the site administrators at the very bottom of the page. Maybe try sending a message there specifically about the harassment issues? Might be more effective than the report button.

One more thing to consider - check your collective bargaining agreement carefully. There might be a specific grievance process for wage issues that you need to follow before or alongside filing with L&I. Some CBAs have strict timelines and procedures. You don't want to miss any deadlines that could help your case.

That's a really good point. I'll review our CBA tonight. I've already talked to my union rep but maybe there's a formal grievance process I should be using too. I appreciate all the help everyone!
