If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

just remember to keep filing ur weekly claims even tho ur waiting for appeal!! if u win the appeal they'll only pay u for weeks u submitted claims for

Yes, I've been making sure to do that every week! Feels pointless when they keep saying "disqualified" but I know I need to keep doing it.

One more recommendation since you mentioned you were fired due to allegations that were later found to be unsubstantiated - make sure you've uploaded all documentation showing you were cleared of wrongdoing to your eServices account. Specifically: 1. The official findings document from the regulatory agency 2. Any correspondence showing you requested an internal investigation from your employer 3. Documentation showing the timeline between your termination and when you were cleared At your eventual hearing, the Administrative Law Judge will focus heavily on whether there was misconduct. Having clear documentation that an official investigation cleared you is extremely valuable evidence.

I did upload the official findings report when I filed my appeal, but I'll double-check to make sure everything is there. Should I re-upload these documents with my weekly claims too, or just keep them ready for the hearing?

Keep all documents ready for the hearing, but also send a message through eServices specifically to the Appeals department with these documents attached again. Reference your appeal confirmation number in the message. While this might not speed things up, it ensures the documents are in multiple places in your file, reducing the chance they'll be overlooked.

have u checked if its a bank holiday?? sometimes those mess everything up

UPDATE: My payment just hit my account at 2:47 PM! Thanks everyone for the reassurance. Guess it was just processing slower than usual this week. I'll remember not to panic next time there's a slight delay!

Glad to hear it worked out! For future reference, you can always check your claim status in eServices under "Payment History" to see if a payment has been issued even before it hits your bank account. This can give you peace of mind during those processing delays.

For her unemployment application, make sure she uses these exact terms when explaining the situation: 1. "Administrative furlough due to background check processing" 2. "Temporary work stoppage not due to misconduct" 3. "Unable to perform work duties solely due to required administrative processing" These specific phrases will help trigger the right classification in the ESD system. Also, when she applies, she should select "laid off" rather than "quit" or "fired" when asked about her separation reason. Background check processing delays are considered administrative furloughs in most cases, which fall under the laid off category. If she gets denied (which happens to many first-time applications), definitely appeal right away. The appeal form will give her more space to fully explain the situation.

This is extremely helpful! I've written down these exact phrases for her to use on the application. She's going to try filing online tonight. Will update how it goes!

sorta off topic but this happened to my neighbor who is also a caregiver and she ended up applying for emergency assistance through DSHS for that month instead of dealing with unemployment. might be another option if the ESD route doesn't work out.

btw did u try the online message center thing? sometimes they actually respond to those

I sent 2 messages already with no response. The website says to expect 5-7 business days for a reply but it's been 8 days now.

UPDATE: I just learned that ESD recently changed their phone system. Try option 2, then 1, then 3 in the menu to bypass some of the general queues. Also, if you're willing to drive to a WorkSource center in person, they sometimes have direct lines to ESD representatives that can help with payment issues. Bring ID and your claim information if you go that route.

Thank you! I'll definitely try that phone menu sequence tomorrow morning. There's a WorkSource about 20 minutes from me so that might be my backup plan if I can't get through by phone. Really appreciate all the help from everyone.

btw if u need to talk to esd before ur hearing theres this service called claimyr that can help u get thru. my friend used it when she couldnt get anyone on the phone for 2 weeks. it costs money but she said it was worth it cuz they got her connected in like an hour. their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3

Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely at my wit's end trying to get through to someone. I'll check out the video and see if it might be worth it.

Just a heads up - since your hearing is the day after Christmas, there might be some delays with the decision and payment processing due to the holiday season. Many ESD staff take vacation time around the holidays, which can slow things down. I'd mentally prepare for an extra week beyond the normal timeframes just to be safe.

That's a really good point that I hadn't considered. I'll definitely adjust my expectations about the timeline. Thanks for the heads up!
