Been following this thread and wanted to add - if your benefit calculation is correct but still too low to live on, look into your county's emergency assistance programs. Many have one-time help for rent, utilities, etc. while you're getting back on your feet.
Just wanted to add that if you're thinking about doing any freelance or part-time work while collecting, make sure you report it on your weekly claims. They'll reduce your benefit but you won't lose it entirely as long as you stay under a certain threshold.
Good luck with everything! The uncertainty is the worst part, but at least unemployment benefits will help bridge the gap while you find your next opportunity. Boeing's loss is someone else's gain!
One more thing - if you do get approved, make sure you understand the job search requirements. You'll need to make at least 3 job contacts per week and keep detailed records in WorkSourceWA.
The waiting is the worst part honestly. I remember being so anxious about my first payment too. But once it starts coming it's pretty reliable.
UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know my payment hit my account this morning! So it was exactly 3 business days after the 'Payment Issued' date showed up in my Washington ESD account. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance.

Just remember that even if your deposit is delayed, as long as your claim shows 'paid' you will get the money. Washington ESD doesn't lose payments, they just sometimes take longer to process.

•That's reassuring. I was starting to worry the money might just disappear.

•Exactly right. The 'paid' status is your confirmation that the funds are on their way.

FINAL UPDATE: Got my deposit this morning! Thursday at 6am, so about 72 hours from filing Sunday night. Thanks everyone for the advice and reassurance. Setting up those bank alerts now for future peace of mind.
