If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Been following this thread and wanted to add that I used Claimyr recently when I couldn't get through to Washington ESD about my weekly claim issue. Totally worth it to actually talk to a real person instead of dealing with busy signals all day. The video demo on their site shows exactly how the process works.

Seems like a lot of people have had success with that service. I'll keep it in mind if I need to reach Washington ESD.

0 coins

Yeah I'm definitely bookmarking that for when I need to call them. Those phone lines are impossible otherwise.

Hope you don't get fired but if you do, you'll probably be fine benefit-wise. Most terminations I've seen for performance issues still qualify for unemployment. Washington ESD understands that sometimes jobs just aren't a good fit.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful responses. I feel so much better about this situation now. You've all been amazing!

0 coins

Good luck with everything! Hope your job situation improves either way.

One more thing - make sure you understand how a loan payment will affect your monthly budget. With unemployment benefits, every dollar counts. Don't take on more than you can realistically handle.

0 coins

Absolutely. I've done the math and I can handle a reasonable monthly payment. The medical bills are just too big to pay all at once.

Smart approach. Better to be conservative with loan amounts when you're on unemployment. You never know what other expenses might come up.

Update us on what works! I'm sure other people will be in similar situations and could benefit from knowing which lenders are actually willing to work with unemployment income.

Will do! I'm going to try a few of the suggestions from this thread over the next few days and I'll post back with results.

Pro tip: set up direct deposit if you haven't already. The debit card option can have delays sometimes and you want that back pay as fast as possible.

0 coins

Already have direct deposit set up thankfully. Learned that lesson from a friend who had to wait extra days for the card.

0 coins

Good call. Direct deposit is definitely the way to go for faster access to funds.

The whole adjudication process needs to be reformed. Six weeks is way too long to make people wait for benefits they've earned. Glad yours is finally resolved though.

0 coins

Completely agree. No one should have to stress for weeks wondering if they'll be able to pay their bills.

0 coins

It's gotten better than it was during COVID but still way too slow for people who need the money to survive.

Just remember that even after you start receiving benefits, you need to keep filing weekly and meeting all the requirements. It's not set-it-and-forget-it. You have to stay actively engaged with the process the entire time you're collecting.

0 coins

Good point. I definitely don't want to mess anything up once I start getting payments.

Also be prepared for the possibility of audits or reviews even after you're established. They can always ask for documentation of your job search activities.

My experience was 3 weeks exactly from filing to first payment. Week 1 waiting period, Week 2 first weekly claim filed, Week 3 got paid. But I know people who waited much longer due to various issues. Just stay patient and persistent.

0 coins

That matches what others have said. I'm hoping for a similar timeline. Thanks everyone for all the helpful info!

0 coins

You're welcome! The waiting is stressful but most people do get through the process eventually. Hang in there.

0 coins

File online, be honest about everything, and don't stress too much. The majority of people who apply get approved, even those who were terminated.

0 coins

Thanks for the encouragement! I really needed to hear that.

Good luck with your claim! Sounds like you have a solid case based on what you've described.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice. Feeling much more confident about filing now.
