Thanks for posting this question! I'm in the same boat and this thread answered all my questions about where to apply online. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.
One thing I wish someone had told me - make sure you apply for the right type of benefits. There's regular unemployment and then there's stuff like standby pay for certain situations. I applied for the wrong one initially and had to start over.
The worst part is not being able to get any real information about timeline or status. Washington ESD's customer service is practically non-existent.
This is why services like Claimyr exist - because the regular system is so broken that people are willing to pay just to talk to someone.
The weekly payment schedule is definitely better than monthly like some other benefits. Makes it easier to budget and manage bills when money comes in regularly.
For the original poster - sounds like you should see your first payment this week if you filed last Tuesday. After that it should be weekly as long as you keep filing your claims on time. The Washington ESD system is pretty reliable once you get into the routine.
Just remember that once your first payment comes through, the subsequent ones should be much more predictable. Usually every week like clockwork if you keep filing your claims on time.
Sending good vibes! Hope you see that payment soon. The waiting game is brutal but you're doing everything right by staying on top of your weekly claims.

Reading all this makes me grateful I had help navigating the system. I used one of those callback services (Claimyr I think?) when I was having trouble reaching Washington ESD about my claim status. Definitely worth it when you're stressed about money and can't get through on the phone.

•I keep seeing mentions of these services. Are they actually endorsed by Washington ESD or just third-party companies?

•They're third-party but legitimate. They just help you get connected to the actual Washington ESD agents faster than calling directly.

Bottom line: based on what you've described, you have a decent chance of qualifying. The hour reduction from full-time to 4 hours per week is pretty clearly a substantial change that would make continuing employment unreasonable. Just make sure you document everything and be thorough in your application. Good luck!
