Washington doesn't have dependent allowances for unemployment benefits. Your benefit amount is based solely on your work history and wages, not family size.

Does anyone know if the payment day changes if you have to appeal something? I'm dealing with a disqualification notice and wondering if that affects the timing.
That's what I was afraid of. Guess I need to focus on getting this appeal filed correctly.
Appeals can take months, so definitely get that process started ASAP if you think you have a case.
Bottom line for OP: File your weekly claim by Sunday, payment processes Tuesday night, money in your account Wednesday morning (or Tuesday night with some banks). If you're not seeing that pattern, there's probably an issue with your claim that needs to be resolved.

The maximum duration is 26 weeks in Washington unless extended benefits are available. Your benefit year lasts 52 weeks from when you first file, but you can only collect for 26 weeks during that year.

Exactly. And if you find work and get laid off again within that benefit year, you might be able to reopen your existing claim.
Just wanted to add that if you're considering consulting or freelance work while on unemployment, make sure you report ALL income. Even small amounts can affect your weekly benefit, but you can usually still collect partial benefits.
