If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Bottom line: you should be fine moving to Oregon while collecting Washington ESD benefits. Just follow the rules, keep looking for work, and file your weekly claims on time. Thousands of people do this every year.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful responses! I feel much better about the move now.

Good luck with the move and the job search! Oregon's a great state.

Just wanted to add that if you do run into any problems with your claim after moving, don't panic. Most issues can be resolved with a phone call to Washington ESD, though getting through can be challenging. Document everything and be persistent.

Will do. I'm feeling pretty confident about this now thanks to all the advice here.

That's great to hear. The unemployment system can be confusing but this is actually one of the more straightforward situations.

For anyone still reading this thread, here's the basic timeline I've experienced consistently: File weekly claim Sunday → Washington ESD processes Monday/Tuesday → Payment sent Tuesday/Wednesday → Money in account Wednesday/Thursday (depending on your bank).

0 coins

Perfect summary! This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you everyone for all the helpful info.

0 coins

Yep that timeline matches my experience too. The key is just filing on Sunday to get into that weekly batch.

0 coins

Just adding my experience - I use a small local bank and consistently get my UI payments on Wednesday afternoons. My sister uses Chase and gets hers Wednesday mornings. So even with different banks, it's still pretty predictable.

Interesting that the big bank gets it earlier in the day. Makes sense that they probably process ACH transfers faster.

0 coins

Yeah probably. But honestly a few hours difference doesn't matter much as long as it's consistent.

If you're still unsure about your eligibility, there's an earnings threshold calculator on the Washington ESD website that can help you estimate whether you qualify based on your work history.

0 coins

Oh that's helpful! I'll look for that on their website.

0 coins

It's under the 'Am I Eligible' section if I remember correctly. Good starting point before you file your actual claim.

0 coins

Bottom line - with 8 months at one job plus 4 months at another, you've almost certainly earned enough to qualify for Washington unemployment benefits. Don't stress too much about it, just file your claim and let them determine your eligibility officially.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information. I feel much more confident about filing now.

Good luck with your claim! The hardest part is usually just understanding how the system works, which you've got a handle on now.

Quick question - if I negotiate a higher severance package, does that just mean my unemployment benefits are delayed longer? Trying to figure out if it's worth pushing for more money.

0 coins

Generally yes, higher severance means longer delay in unemployment benefits. But severance is usually guaranteed money while unemployment has eligibility requirements, so more severance is typically better even with the delay.

0 coins

I'd take the higher severance. Unemployment benefits are way less than regular wages anyway, so having more guaranteed money upfront is usually the better deal.

For anyone still confused about this stuff, I found Washington ESD's website has a section explaining how different types of payments affect unemployment. It's buried in their FAQ but has good examples of how they calculate the waiting periods.

0 coins

Thanks for that tip! I'll check their website for more details about my specific situation.

0 coins

The website is helpful but sometimes you really need to talk to someone for complex situations. That's where services like Claimyr come in handy.

0 coins

Document everything - when your payments stopped, what your account shows, any messages you've received. You'll need this information when you talk to Washington ESD.

0 coins

Good advice. I'll screenshot everything before I call.

0 coins

Also write down the dates of your last few weekly claims and when you filed them. They often ask about that.

0 coins

Hope you get this resolved quickly. The stress of having benefits stop unexpectedly is awful, especially when you're depending on them for basic expenses.

Thanks, I really appreciate all the advice from everyone. At least now I have some ideas of what to ask about when I call.
