If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Don't overthink it too much. Follow the basic requirements, file on time, look for work, and report everything accurately. Most people get through it without major drama.

You're right - I'm probably overthinking this. Thanks for the reality check.

The most important thing is to stay organized and keep good records. If anything goes wrong, having documentation makes all the difference in getting it resolved quickly.

I'm starting a spreadsheet today to track everything. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

0 coins

That's a great approach. You'll do fine with that level of organization.

One more thing - if you're laid off vs fired vs quit, that affects eligibility but not the benefit amount calculation. The weekly amount is purely based on your wage history.

0 coins

I was laid off due to company restructuring, so that should be fine for eligibility right?

0 coins

Yes, layoffs are typically straightforward for eligibility. Just make sure you report it accurately when you file.

Bottom line - file your claim and see what Washington ESD calculates. With your salary range you should get a decent weekly amount, probably in the $400-600 range like others mentioned.

Thanks everyone! This has been really helpful. I feel much more prepared to file now.

0 coins

Good luck with your claim! Feel free to come back here if you run into any issues during the process.

Don't forget that you'll need to file weekly claims after your initial application. Missing those weekly filings will stop your payments, so set a reminder for yourself.

0 coins

How often do you have to file those weekly claims? Every Sunday?

0 coins

You can file weekly claims starting Sunday morning for the previous week. Most people do it Sunday or Monday to stay on track.

0 coins

Been through this process twice now and my advice is just get it done today. Stop overthinking it, gather your paperwork, and file your claim. Every day you wait is money you're losing.

0 coins

You're right, I'm definitely overthinking this. Going to file this afternoon. Thanks everyone for the help!

Good luck! The process seems scary but it's really not that bad once you start.

Also remember that even though there's a waiting week, you should still register with WorkSource (worksourcewa.com) right away since that's required for maintaining eligibility.

0 coins

another thing to add to the list, thanks for mentioning that

0 coins

WorkSource registration is mandatory within a certain timeframe, so don't put it off. It's also actually helpful for job searching.

0 coins

sounds like you've got a good handle on the timing now. file right after your last day, be ready with all your info, and stay consistent with weekly claims. you should be all set!

really appreciate everyone taking the time to help out, this thread has been super informative

Bottom line: Plan for 26 weeks maximum, but don't count on using all of them. Start job hunting immediately and treat unemployment as temporary income replacement, not a long-term solution.

0 coins

That's great advice. I'm treating this as a bridge while I find my next opportunity, not as a vacation from work.

0 coins

Exactly the right mindset. The people who struggle most are the ones who treat unemployment like a break instead of actively working to get back into the workforce.

0 coins

Don't forget that if you're collecting unemployment, you might also be eligible for other assistance programs while you're looking for work. It's worth checking what else might be available to help stretch your budget during those 26 weeks.

0 coins

Good point! I should look into what other resources might be available. Every little bit helps when you're between jobs.

0 coins

SNAP benefits, utility assistance, job training programs - there are often resources available that people don't know about. Your local WorkSource office might have information about additional programs.
