Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

For future reference, you can also check the ESD website under 'Claim Status Definitions' but their explanations are pretty vague. The level system isn't well documented anywhere public that I've found.
I looked there first but you're right, it's not very helpful for understanding the specific level codes.

Bottom line - file as soon as you're eligible even if you're not sure about the benefit amount. You can always ask questions later but you can't backdate your claim very far, so don't wait too long to get the process started.
That's really good advice. I'll go ahead and file this week rather than trying to figure out every detail first.
Smart move. The application will show you the calculated benefit amount anyway, so you'll know exactly what to expect once it's processed.

Just remember that once you do start getting benefits, you have to file your weekly claim every week to keep getting paid. Don't miss a week or you'll have to start over with the whole process.
When do I file the weekly claims? Is there a specific day?
You can file anytime during the week for the previous week. Most people do it on Sunday for the week that just ended. Don't wait too long though.
The waiting is the worst part. Once you get your first payment everything feels more manageable. Just hang in there and keep checking the website for updates.

One more tip - make sure you're filing your weekly claim before the Sunday deadline. I filed late one week (Monday morning) and my payment was delayed until the following week's cycle.
What time on Sunday is the cutoff? I usually file Sunday evening but want to make sure I'm not cutting it too close.
I think it's 11:59 PM on Sunday, but I always try to file earlier in the day just in case.
Thanks everyone for all the info! This has been way more helpful than trying to navigate the ESD website. Seems like the consensus is Sunday filing = Tuesday/Wednesday payment for most people.

Washington ESD's security is way too aggressive. I understand protecting accounts but locking people out for 24+ hours is excessive when we have weekly deadlines to meet.
