Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Definitely will update. Reading everyone's experiences here has been really helpful for me too.
Five weeks is definitely longer than normal for a simple claim. Something might be stuck in the system that needs manual review. Getting an agent on the phone is really your best bet at this point.
That's what I'm starting to think too. Going to look into that Claimyr service people keep mentioning and see if I can finally get some answers.

Make sure you keep your address updated with Washington ESD. I moved during my claim and almost missed important notices because I forgot to update my address online.
Good reminder! How do you update your address?
You can do it through your online account under profile settings. Just make sure to update it everywhere - your regular account and your unemployment claim.
Last thing - don't panic if your claim goes into adjudication. It's pretty common and usually gets resolved within a few weeks. Just be patient and respond to any requests for information quickly.
Could be anything - questions about why you left your job, wage verification issues, or if your employer contests the claim. Most of the time it's routine stuff that gets cleared up.

Thanks for asking this question OP. I'm in a similar situation and this discussion has given me a lot to think about for planning ahead.
Glad it helped someone else too. Scary situation but at least we know what to expect now.
The system really should have better transition support but it is what it is. Focus on what you can control - expanding your search, networking, maybe picking up some temp work to keep income flowing.
You're right. Time to stop worrying about extensions that don't exist and start making concrete plans.

One last tip - make sure you start looking for work right away even while your claim is being processed. Washington ESD requires job search activities and it's better to get started early.
