Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. if u run into any weird error messages during the application just try again later or use a different browser. the esd website can be glitchy sometimes

update: just saw several new job postings today advertising the new minimum wage as a selling point. seems like some employers are actually using it to attract workers

The weekly claim process becomes routine after a few weeks. Just set a reminder to file every Sunday and keep track of your job search activities throughout the week.

Don't forget to check your claim status regularly too. Sometimes Washington ESD will put a hold on your claim for various reasons and you need to resolve it quickly to avoid missing payments.

I check mine every few days. Common holds include identity verification, work search issues, or if they need additional information about your separation from your last job.
