Been reading through this thread and it's super helpful! I'm in a similar situation and was worried about how much I'd get. Sounds like Washington is pretty fair with their benefit amounts compared to what I hear about other states.
Last tip from me - if you need to talk to Washington ESD about your benefit calculation or any other issues with your claim, seriously consider using Claimyr. I know I mentioned it before but it really does save so much time and frustration. The peace of mind of actually getting through to someone is worth it.
I was skeptical at first but ended up trying Claimyr when I couldn't reach anyone for weeks. Worked exactly like they said it would - got connected to an agent and resolved my issue the same day.
Bottom line - with your $52k income you're probably looking at $450-550 per week for up to 26 weeks. Not bad as a safety net while you find your next job. Just make sure you understand all the requirements for maintaining eligibility.
Hope this all works out for you OP. Filing unemployment is stressful enough without having to figure out which state to even file with. At least now you know where to start!
One last tip - if you run into any roadblocks with Idaho's system and need to speak with someone, that Claimyr service people mentioned could save you hours of phone frustration. Sometimes it's worth paying for the help when you're dealing with unemployment bureaucracy.
Has anyone here actually used Claimyr successfully? I'm curious if it really works or if people are just lucky. I've been trying to reach Washington ESD for three weeks about my adjudication status.
Bottom line: ASU insurance is private coverage you might have through loans or credit accounts. Washington ESD unemployment is government benefits. They're totally separate things even though they both relate to unemployment situations. Hope that helps clear things up!

Just wanted to add that if you're worried about the timeline, start applying for jobs immediately and keep good records. The job search requirement kicks in right away and they can audit your activities retroactively.

•I've been doing job searches through WorkSource WA but wasn't sure if I needed to start immediately or wait for approval.

•Start immediately! The job search requirement begins with your first week of filing, not when your claim gets approved. Keep detailed records of everything.

Bottom line - if you filed last Thursday with no complications, you should see your first payment next Tuesday or Wednesday for your second week of filing. Keep filing weekly, keep job searching, and try not to stress too much about the timeline unless it goes past 3 weeks.

•Good luck! The waiting is definitely the hardest part but it usually works out fine if you stay on top of your weekly filings.
