Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Make sure you apply as soon as you lose your job! There's a waiting week but benefits are backdated to when you first file. Don't wait thinking you'll find something quickly because the job market is rough right now.
The system is so broken. They denied my claim initially even though I had all the right documentation. Had to appeal and it took 2 months to get resolved. Start gathering your paperwork now so you're ready.

Keep pay stubs, any written schedules, emails about work changes, and if you do get terminated, ask for the separation notice in writing. Having everything documented makes the process smoother.

The whole system is a joke honestly. 26 weeks goes by fast when you're actually trying to find decent work that pays what you used to make. And don't get me started on the job search requirements - you have to apply to 3 jobs per week and keep detailed records. It's exhausting on top of already being stressed about money.
I hear you on the stress. The job search requirement is real though - make sure you keep good records in case they audit your claim.

just make sure u file right away after ur last day of work... theres a waiting week but the sooner u file the sooner the clock starts ticking
