If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I know where to find it, the problem is the website keeps timing out when I try to submit the certification. But thanks anyway.

I've been filing weekly claims for about 6 months now and here's what I've learned: Try filing between 6-8 AM on Sunday mornings when the system is most stable. For the job search contacts, you need to have them ready during certification - you can't add them separately later. Keep a simple log with company name, contact method (online application, phone, email), and date. The system will ask for 3 work search activities per week unless you're in an approved training program. Also, save your work frequently as you go through the questions in case it times out - the system sometimes saves partial progress. If all else fails, you can call the Telecert line at 1-888-581-5812, though expect long wait times.

This is super helpful! I had no idea about the Telecert phone line - that could be a good backup option. Quick question about the work search log - do I need to include the specific job titles I applied for or is just the company name and contact method enough?

This exact situation happened to my brother! NY DOL stopped his benefits for 2 months because of a $1,400 overpayment he didn't even know about. The crazy part is they had his correct address but somehow the overpayment notice got "lost in the mail" 🤔 He finally got through to someone who told him they put an automatic hold on ALL benefits until overpayments are resolved. Once he set up a $75/month payment plan, they released his backpay within 2 weeks. The whole thing could have been avoided if they just sent proper notifications! Keep pushing - you'll get your money but they definitely make you work for it.

just remember that the site does maintenance every night from like 12-7am and sometimes features disappear during that time even though the site seems to be working still

OMG YES this happened to me too!! I was going absolutely insane thinking I was doing something wrong. Turns out there are like 3 different NY unemployment portals and if you're logged into the wrong one, the "file a claim" button just... doesn't exist. Super helpful design 🙄 I finally got it working by going directly to https://unemployment.labor.ny.gov and starting completely fresh instead of through the general NY.gov site. Also try different browsers - Safari was completely broken for me but worked fine in Chrome. The whole system is a nightmare but you're definitely not going crazy!

Ya your benefits are done. I was in the same situation and finally got through to them after using claimyr.com - agent told me I needed to file a whole new claim since mine was exhausted. Getting through to a human was literally the only way I got a straight answer.

I was in the exact same situation a few months ago - zero effective days is definitely confusing! It means you've exhausted all your benefits for this claim period. Since you worked that temp job last fall after your original claim started in February 2021, you should definitely qualify for a new claim. Don't waste time trying to call - I literally spent 2 weeks trying to get through and it was torture. I ended up using Claimyr and got connected to an agent within a couple hours. The rep walked me through filing a new claim and explained that my temporary work made me eligible. My new weekly benefit amount was actually higher because of the recent wages! The key thing is that you need wages from after your original claim start date, which it sounds like you have. File online at labor.ny.gov under "File New Claim" - but honestly talking to an actual person first will save you headaches if there are any complications with your case.

The system is so broken honestly. I worked 8 months and they still made me jump through hoops for weeks during adjudication. But yeah you should qualify with multiple jobs, just be prepared for delays and bureaucratic nonsense.

Ugh that's what I'm worried about. How long did your adjudication take? I need benefits soon or I'm going to be in serious trouble with bills.

Mine took about 3 weeks but I've heard it can vary a lot depending on your situation. The key is to respond to any requests for information immediately and keep checking your online account. Also make sure you keep certifying for benefits even during adjudication - they'll backpay you once it's approved. Hang in there!
