If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just remember you need to keep filing your weekly claims even while waiting for the initial determination. A lot of people don't realize this and then miss out on payments for those weeks. The weekly claim filing keeps your place in line basically.

Wait really? I can file weekly claims before my initial claim is approved? The system let me do that?

Yes absolutely! You should be filing weekly claims starting the week after you become unemployed, even if your initial claim is still pending. This ensures you don't lose any eligible weeks of benefits.

I just went through this process recently and got approved after about 2.5 weeks. One thing that really helped was making sure I had all my employment documentation ready - like pay stubs and the separation notice from my employer. Since your store closed, that should actually work in your favor because it's clearly not a voluntary quit or termination for cause. Just keep checking your my.ny.gov account daily and respond immediately to any requests for additional info. Also, definitely start filing your weekly claims like others mentioned - I almost missed doing that at first!

Had the exact same issue last week! What finally worked for me was using a different device entirely - tried my phone instead of laptop and it went through immediately. Also make sure you're using the correct URL (labor.ny.gov/signin) because there are some fake lookalike sites that will mess with your login attempts. If all else fails, definitely try that claimyr service people are mentioning - heard good things about it from others in this group.

Thanks for the tip about using a different device! I've been trying on my laptop this whole time. Will definitely try my phone next. Also good point about the URL - I'll double check I'm on the right site. This whole situation is so stressful when you need to certify for benefits 😅

I've been dealing with this for weeks and finally got through! Try using the mobile app instead of the website - for some reason it's way more stable. Also, if you have any special characters in your password (like @, #, etc.), try changing it to just letters and numbers. The system seems to have issues with special characters even though it allows them when you create the password. Super frustrating but hopefully one of these solutions works for you!

am i the only 1 who thinks its ridiculous we have to jump through all these hoops just to get help when we're already stressed about losing our jobs? 🤔 the system is broken af

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible.

Totally agree. It's almost like they hope people will just give up and not claim what they're entitled to.

Just wanted to add - if you're having trouble getting through on the phone, try calling on different days of the week. I found that Tuesdays and Wednesdays around 10am seemed to have shorter wait times than Mondays or Fridays. Also, have your unemployment insurance number ready if you already have one from your initial application - it speeds things up a lot. Don't get discouraged if it takes a few tries to get through, the system is overwhelmed but the reps are generally helpful once you reach them.

Thanks for the tip about timing! I've been trying to call first thing in the morning but maybe I should switch to mid-morning instead. Did you notice if the wait times were actually shorter or just that you got through more successfully at those times?

I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now! Been trying to file for three days straight and the website keeps crashing right when I get to the employment history section. It's so demoralizing spending hours filling everything out just to get kicked back to the login screen. I'm going to try that 6 AM strategy everyone's mentioning - seems like timing really does matter with their overloaded servers. Has anyone had luck with the phone lines during specific hours, or is it just as much of a nightmare no matter when you call? Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here, at least I know I'm not alone in this struggle.

I've been having the exact same experience! The employment history section seems to be where it crashes most often for me too. One thing that helped a little was saving screenshots of each page as I went through it, so when I had to start over I could fill things out faster. Also try using incognito/private browsing mode - sometimes that helps with the session timeout issues. The phone lines are brutal at all hours from what I've experienced, but I've heard some people have slightly better luck calling right when they open at 8 AM. We definitely shouldn't have to become IT experts just to file for unemployment benefits!

I'm going through this nightmare too! Lost my job at a retail store three weeks ago and have been battling this broken system ever since. The website crashes constantly, and I've probably called 40+ times with no luck. What's really frustrating is that I know people who filed for unemployment in other states and it took them like 20 minutes online. Meanwhile, I'm over here treating this like a part-time job just trying to access benefits I paid into for years. Going to try that 6 AM strategy and the desktop browser tips - thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. It helps to know we're all dealing with the same broken system and it's not just me doing something wrong!

I went through the same nightmare last month - missing $2,100 in payments and getting nowhere with the regular channels. What finally worked for me was contacting my state senator's office (not assembly, but senator). They have a constituent services team that handles unemployment issues specifically. I found my senator through nysenate.gov, filled out their online form describing the problem, and got a callback within 48 hours. The senator's office contacted NYSDOL directly and my payments were released within a week. Also, keep detailed records of every call attempt - date, time, how long you waited, what happened. This documentation helps when you escalate. Don't give up, the system is broken but there are ways around it if you know the right pressure points.

This is super helpful - I didn't even know there was a difference between contacting assembly vs senate offices. I'm definitely going to try the state senator route since you had such quick results. Did you have to provide any specific documentation when you filled out their form, or just describe the issue? Really appreciate you sharing what actually worked!
