If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I just want to echo what Faith and Giovanni said about filing immediately - don't wait another day! I made the same mistake a couple years ago when I got laid off from my restaurant job. I waited almost a month thinking I'd find something quickly, and it cost me over $1,200 in benefits I could never get back. The guilt and regret was awful, but dwelling on it didn't help my situation. What helped was focusing on getting the process started and looking into other assistance programs while waiting for unemployment to kick in. Also, when you do file, don't get discouraged if the website is slow or crashes - it's unfortunately normal. Just keep trying and maybe use those off-peak hours Faith mentioned. The whole experience taught me that swallowing your pride and asking for help immediately is always better than waiting and hoping things work out on their own. You've got this Carmen - file today and start moving forward!

Thanks Ethan - your story really resonates with me and it's helpful to know I'm not the only one who's made this expensive mistake. The $1,200 you lost is close to what I'm looking at missing out on, and while it stings, you're absolutely right that dwelling on it won't change anything. I appreciate the encouragement about not getting discouraged by the website issues - I'll definitely try those off-peak hours and just keep pushing through even if it's frustrating. Your point about swallowing pride really hits home because that's exactly what held me back initially. I kept thinking I'd find something fast and didn't want to "give up" by filing for unemployment. But you're right - asking for help immediately is always the smarter choice. I'm going to file this morning and focus on moving forward instead of beating myself up about the timing. Thanks for sharing your experience and the encouragement!

I'm reading through all these responses and feeling so much better knowing I'm not alone in this situation! It sounds like the consensus is clear - I need to file TODAY and stop beating myself up about the 6 weeks I missed. Thank you everyone for the practical advice about having documents ready, trying off-peak hours, and looking into emergency assistance programs while I wait for unemployment to start. Special thanks to Faith and Giovanni for the professional insights - the 2-1-1 tip and workforce development center resources are exactly what I needed to hear. I'm going to take a deep breath, gather my employment paperwork, and file my application this morning. Then I'll call 2-1-1 about emergency rent assistance. It's an expensive lesson learned, but at least I can still get 26 weeks of benefits going forward and there are other resources to help bridge the gap. Thanks again everyone - this community really came through with helpful advice when I needed it most!

I've been dealing with this same exact issue for the past two weeks! The system keeps cutting me off right when I try to enter my work hours. What finally worked for me was calling the main line (888-209-8124) at exactly 8:00 AM on Monday morning and speaking very slowly and clearly when entering numbers. Also, I learned that if you're working different hours each day, don't try to enter a weekly total - the system gets confused. Enter each day separately like: Monday 4 hours, Tuesday 6 hours, etc. Still took me 3 tries but at least I got through eventually. The whole system is such a mess but hang in there!

UI System Says I Certified for 7/28 Benefits But Payment Released on 7/29 Not Showing in Payment History

I certified for my benefits yesterday but it's not showing up in my transactions. The system is telling me I already claimed for the week, but when I check my payment history there's nothing there. According to my UI account page, under "Latest Transaction(s) as of 08/06/2024", it says I last certified for benefits for the week ending 07/28/2024, and that my payment for the week ending 07/28/2024 was released on 07/30/2024. But I don't see this payment anywhere in my payment history. The page shows information about weekly payments for $700 showing "0" under the "Effective Days" column, and Debit Card or Direct Deposit under the "Type" column, which are supposedly the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) payments. There's also this explanation about Effective Days that says: "Each day in a week (Monday through Sunday) that you qualify for benefits is called an effective day. There is a maximum of 4 effective days each week, and you must qualify for all 4 effective days in order to receive your total weekly benefit rate. For each day in the week that you are not eligible to receive benefits, you will receive one less effective day, which is equivalent to one fourth of your weekly benefit rate. For example, if you are not available to work one day in a week, or if you have worked any part of a day, or have received vacation or holiday pay for one day in a week, your benefits will be reduced by one effective day (the same as one-quarter of your benefit rate). You can receive a maximum of 104 effective days on your claim." But this doesn't explain why my latest certification isn't showing up. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know what's going on? I'm starting to worry my payment won't come through.

Just wanted to jump in and say I'm dealing with the exact same thing right now! Certified yesterday and it shows I already claimed but nothing in payment history. Reading through all these comments is actually really reassuring - sounds like this is happening to a lot of people lately and the payments are still going through even when the website is being glitchy. Gonna check my actual bank account now instead of just staring at the blank payment history page 😅 Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences!

same boat here! just went through all these comments and realized i should probably check my actual bank account instead of just panicking about the website 😂 it's wild how many of us are dealing with this exact same issue right now. definitely makes me feel better knowing the payments are actually going through even when their system is acting up. fingers crossed we all see our money soon! 🤞

Wow, reading through all these comments is actually making me feel so much better! I'm literally going through the EXACT same thing right now - certified on Monday, system says I already claimed, but payment history is completely blank. I was starting to panic thinking something was wrong with my claim. Just checked my bank account after reading everyone's advice and surprise surprise - the money is actually there! 🙌 The NY DOL website is such a mess but at least the actual payments are still processing. This whole thread should honestly be pinned somewhere because it seems like this glitch is happening to tons of people lately. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences and timelines - super helpful to know I'm not alone in this! Definitely gonna start taking screenshots of everything from now on just in case.

I've been on NY unemployment for about 7 months and can absolutely confirm what everyone is saying here! The certification time on Sunday makes zero difference for when you get paid. I've literally tested this myself - sometimes I certify at 7am when I wake up, other times I'm scrambling to get it done at 11:45pm after a busy day. Always get my deposit Tuesday morning regardless. The batch processing system is exactly right - NYSDOL processes everyone's certifications together Monday night, so whether you're first or last on Sunday doesn't matter at all. The only delays I've ever experienced were due to bank holidays or one time when there was a technical issue on their end that affected thousands of people. For anyone new to this, don't stress about the timing - just make sure you get it done before Sunday midnight and you're golden!

This is exactly what I needed to hear! I just started my unemployment claim a couple weeks ago and have been setting multiple alarms to make sure I certify early Sunday morning, thinking it would somehow get me paid faster or more reliably. It's such a relief to know from someone with 7 months of experience that the timing truly doesn't matter. I love that you actually tested it yourself - that's the kind of real-world data that really puts my mind at ease. The batch processing explanation makes so much sense too. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us newcomers!

I just started collecting unemployment about 3 weeks ago and this whole thread has been such a lifesaver! I was definitely overthinking the certification timing and stressing myself out for no reason. It's incredibly reassuring to see so many people with months of experience all confirming the same thing - that Sunday certification time doesn't affect Tuesday deposits at all. I had no idea about the batch processing system or being able to check payment status on Monday nights either. This community is amazing for helping newcomers like me understand how things actually work versus what we imagine might go wrong. Thanks everyone for sharing your real experiences - it's going to make my weekly certifications way less stressful going forward!

I went through this same confusion when I first started collecting benefits. The exemptions show up in your online account under the "Determinations" section - they're basically waivers from certain requirements. The most common one is the work search exemption if you're temporarily laid off with a definite recall date. However, if your employer keeps pushing back your return date, you might lose that exemption status and need to start doing the 3 weekly job searches. I'd recommend calling the Tele-Center (though good luck getting through) or checking if there's been any change to your exemption status in your online account. The key is staying on top of it because if you lose an exemption and don't start meeting the requirements, you could face an overpayment situation.

This is really helpful Giovanni! I'm dealing with a similar situation where my employer keeps extending my layoff. How do you know when the exemption status actually changes? Does the system notify you automatically or do you have to keep checking manually? I'm worried about accidentally missing the transition and then owing money back.

The exemption notifications can be tricky - NYS DOL doesn't always send automatic alerts when your status changes. I learned this the hard way when my temporary layoff exemption expired without warning. What I do now is check my online account every week before certifying, specifically looking at the "Claim Summary" and "Determinations" sections. If you see any changes in your exemption status or if your employer updates their return date estimate, that's usually when the work search requirements kick back in. Also, pay attention to the weekly certification questions - they sometimes change when exemptions expire. I'd suggest documenting your exemption status each week (screenshot or write it down) so you have a record if there are any disputes later about when requirements changed.

That's such good advice about documenting everything weekly! I've been lazy about checking my account regularly but you're right - it seems like the system can change without much warning. Do you know if there's any grace period when exemptions expire, or does the work search requirement kick in immediately? I'm also wondering if it's worth setting up some kind of reminder to check my account status every week before certifying.
