Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Let me break this down for educational workers: BYE date is when your claim year ends, but: - You might still have weeks left to claim - Must reapply after BYE even with remaining weeks - Educational workers often cant claim during scheduled breaks - Need to earn 10x weekly benefit in new base period - Must work in at least 2 quarters Best way to get accurate info is calling NY unemployment directly. Use claimyr.com to get through - saves hours of frustration. They handle the hold time and connect you to an agent. Document everything and keep certifying weekly while you sort this out!

Here's what you need to do - this worked for me. First, double check your NY.gov account for any messages or requests for additional info. Sometimes they need more docs but the notice gets buried. Next, try reaching them through their social media, especially Twitter. If that doesn't work, use claimyr.com to get through on the phone - yeah it costs money but its better than waiting forever. Last resort is contacting your state representative's office. They can usually get things moving pretty quick. Don't give up!
