Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. The $431 is your gross benefit amount. They take out taxes if you elected for withholding (federal 10% and state 2.5%). They might also deduct health insurance premiums if you opted for that, child support if applicable, or other mandated deductions. The $381 is your net amount after all deductions. If you need clarification, you should contact them directly. Using claimyr.com is the fastest way to get through - they'll wait on hold and connect you to an agent.

Here's what you need to know about NY unemployment qualification requirements: Base Period Requirements: - Must have earned at least $3,100 in base period - Worked in at least 2 quarters - Can use alternative base period if regular doesn't qualify If you need to appeal or discuss your case, definitely try claimyr.com to get through to someone. Way better than waiting forever. Also check if you have any wages from other jobs in your base period - everything counts! Don't give up, keep fighting for your benefits. The system is complicated but there might be options you haven't explored yet.
