Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. my roomate had this EXACT situation and he was able to get benefits again, but only after he got someone on the phone who knew what they were doing. took him like 6 tries cuz some of the phone ppl dont know the rules about furlough vs termination.

hey guys quick question - if my benefit year just ended but I still have a balance, do I need to file a new claim or just keep certifying?
I was in the same situation - you definitely need to file a new claim. But be prepared for it to take a few weeks to process.

So frustrating! What fixed my issue was connecting with a live agent through claimyr.com after weeks of trying on my own. They call and wait on hold for you, then connect you when they get a human. It was the only thing that helped me finally get my account unlocked.
I get the skepticism, I was the same way. But after 6 weeks of no benefits I was willing to try anything. And it actually worked - talking to an agent solved my issue in one call.
So I was about to throw my phone after 3 hours on hold when my friend told me about this. Got a live person in about 90 minutes. Totally worth it.

whatevr u do, dont give up!!! i almost did and then finally got thru and they paid me 8000 backdated!!
Contact your state representative or assemblyperson! I was stuck in limbo for months, emailed my state senator's office, and they helped push my claim through within a week. They have special contacts at unemployment.
👆 This actually works. They have special phone numbers they can call to check on claims.

did u check if ur account is locked? sometimes after verification they lock ur account as an "extra security measure" 🙄 u need to look for a message about account access

THE WORST. Took me 17 days to get my account working after ID verification. The real kicker? When I finally got someone on the phone, they said "oh yeah, I can see you're verified, let me just click this button to update your account status" - took them 10 seconds to fix. The system is DESIGNED to be frustrating.
