Update: I just submitted all my documents! I ended up sending the full 1040 with all schedules, plus my W-2s, and several pay stubs from different parts of 2019. The upload process was actually easier than I expected. Thanks everyone for the help!
Congrats! Did you get a confirmation email or just the number on the screen? I submitted mine but never got an email and now I'm worried.
I just got the confirmation number on the screen - no email. I took a screenshot just to be safe. Maybe check your spam folder though?
BTW my neighbor had their bankruptcy case temporarily suspended because of unemployment issues. The court gave them 90 days of reduced payments until benefits kicked in. DONT listen to people saying you have to wait 10 weeks - that's the standard garbage they tell EVERYONE to get you off the phone. The system is designed to frustrate you into giving up!!!

Yes they kept their home! The court understands when there's a legitimate reason for payment problems - especially when it's the STATE'S fault for not processing benefits on time. Just make sure your attorney files the right paperwork showing it's temporary and provide proof you've applied for unemployment.

Quick update: I ended up using Claimyr yesterday and got through to a tier 2 agent who found the problem! Apparently my claim was flagged for "employer verification" even though my employer already verified everything. The agent was able to override this and said I should see payments in 3-5 business days for ALL back weeks. Also met with my bankruptcy attorney who's filing for temporary hardship modification. Feeling much more hopeful now!
I'm a bit confused by some of the responses here. Let me clarify: 1. When your Benefit Year Ends (BYE date), you MUST file a new claim if you want to continue receiving benefits. This is true regardless of what any representative tells you. 2. The $300 overpayment is a separate issue that needs to be addressed. You have the right to appeal this determination if you believe it's incorrect. 3. For the back weeks you certified but didn't get paid: Once you file a new claim and it's approved, you can request backpayments for those weeks. You'll need to speak with a claims specialist, as this won't happen automatically. I recommend doing the following in this order: 1. File your new claim immediately 2. Submit an appeal for the overpayment (if you believe it's incorrect) 3. Once your new claim is processed, contact them about the backpayments Document everything - dates you called, who you spoke with, what was said. This will be important if you need to escalate the issue.

Appeal the overpayment now - there's typically a 30-day deadline from when you received the notice. Don't wait for your new claim to be processed. These are handled by different departments anyway, so you can pursue both simultaneously.
u might wanna check if ur identity verification is still good too. sometimes when BYE happens they need u to do the ID thing again

You can check this in your NY.gov ID account under the identity verification section. If it's expired, you'll see a prompt to complete verification again through ID.me. This is sometimes required when filing a new claim after your BYE date.
Were you able to get through to anyone yet? The longer this goes without contact with an actual claims specialist, the more likely it'll just stay stuck in the system. That's why I ended up using that Claimyr service - after two weeks of not being able to reach anyone, I realized I needed to talk to a specialist to get it unstuck.
Let us know what happens! When my payments finally processed, they all came through on the same day. I literally checked my account in the morning and nothing, then checked again after lunch and suddenly had all three weeks' worth of payments in my account. I hope yours resolves soon!
I finally got through to someone using that Claimyr service! The agent confirmed my claim was flagged for quarterly review but said everything looks good in my file. She manually pushed it through and said I should receive all my back payments within 2-3 business days. Such a relief! Will update when the money actually arrives.

•Good luck!! The early morning strategy sometimes works but honestly it's a total crapshoot with their phone system. If she can't get through, maybe try that Claimyr thing someone mentioned above?
