If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

ok so im in a slightly difrent situation but I had this break in claim thing happen to me also. What I learned is dont skip weeks of certifying even if u think you dont qualify that week! This triggers the break in claim thing. Just certify every week no matter what and be honest about hours. they do eventually sort it out.

Thanks everyone for the advice! My son selected 'lack of work' and we're making sure he certifies every week without fail. The certification went through this week but payment is still showing as pending. We'll give it another week before considering calling NYSDOL. It's such a relief to know others have dealt with this seasonal work situation successfully!

That's great! The pending status is normal after a break in claim message. It typically takes 1-2 certification cycles to start processing payments again. Keep us posted!

My bf had an overpayment last month and they sent him a letter saying exactly when they would take the money. They ended up taking it from two separate payments (like 50% from each). Maybe check your mail again or your online message inbox?

I'll definitely check my online inbox. I might have missed some important information there. Thanks!

To summarize for anyone else with overpayment questions: For small overpayments like $220, NYSDOL typically recovers it from 1-2 payments. For larger amounts, they may take 50% of your weekly benefit until it's paid (standard overpayments) or 100% (fraud determinations). You can call and request a payment plan if taking the full amount would cause financial hardship. The determination letter should specify the recovery method they're using in your specific case.

Thank you for this clear summary! I found my determination letter and it does say they'll recover the full amount from my next payment. At least I know what to expect now.

Just wanted to follow up - any luck with getting through to someone? Did you try any of the suggestions here?

I tried calling the number with the special prompts but still couldn't get through after waiting 2 hours! Then I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned and actually got through to a rep in about 15 minutes. They found that my identity verification was stuck in the system. The agent was able to clear it right there on the phone. My payments should start processing in 3-5 business days! Such a relief!

I was stressed about this too! Called about 50 times yesterday with no luck. Finally used claimyr.com to get through this morning and got confirmation that Sept 5th is indeed the day to certify for the last week. The agent also told me that they're extending their call center hours that day because they expect high volume. Worth the money to get a definitive answer for me.

Of COURSE they're making you PAY to get basic information that should be clearly stated on their website! Just another way they try to cheat us out of benefits we've EARNED.

Important note for everyone: Make sure you've resolved any pending issues with your claim before the program ends. If you have any outstanding documents they've requested or interviews scheduled, complete those ASAP. After the program ends, it becomes much harder to resolve issues that might be holding up your final payments.

That's a really good point I hadn't considered. Thankfully I don't have any pending issues, but I can see how that could cause problems.

Once my senator's office got involved, it took about 3 weeks to get resolution. They have dedicated contacts at NYSDOL who can actually pull the case and review it. The senator's office called me weekly with updates. It was like night and day compared to dealing with NYSDOL directly!

Thank you everyone for all the helpful advice! We're going to:\n1. Contact his state assembly member and senator (already found their contact info)\n2. Ask specifically for the TC-1 and TC-40 forms\n3. Request a formal hearing\n4. Check for any missed correspondence\n5. Ask specifically about OSI involvement and for a Tier 2 specialist\n\nI'll update if we make any progress. It's been such a frustrating process, but your suggestions have given us new directions to try!
