If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

did u ever find out if they go back and give u the money from when ur benefits ran out until now? i'm worried about the same thing happening to me soon

Not yet, but I'm going to specifically ask about backdating when I file my new claim. Will update here when I find out!

Just to follow up on this thread - I've helped several clients with similar situations. When you file your new UI claim, make sure to use the "Comments" section at the end of the application to explain your situation. Specifically state: "I previously exhausted UI benefits and received MEUC approval letter dated [date]. I'm requesting this new claim be backdated to [date your benefits exhausted] due to confusion caused by the MEUC approval." This written record is important if you need to appeal later.

This is extremely helpful, thank you! I'll use that exact wording when I file my new claim today. I appreciate all the support from everyone here.

anyone else notice that the new NY labor website is actually WORSE than the old one?? it looks prettier but half the functions don't work right

0 coins

OMG yes!! It kept logging me out every 2 mins when I was trying to update my work search record last week! So annoying

To stay on topic: The processing status is normal when transitioning between benefit types. The system should update within 3-7 business days with a determination. If it takes longer, that could indicate an issue requiring staff review.

UPDATE: You guys were right! My account updated today (3 days later) and I got a message saying I qualified for the Extended Benefits program. It says I'm eligible for 13 additional weeks at the same weekly amount as before. So glad I asked here instead of just giving up when I saw 0 benefits remaining. Thanks everyone for your help!

congrats! make sure u keep doing all ur work search activities cuz they check those more carefully on the extension programs

Excellent news! Remember that Extended Benefits requires you to apply for at least 5 jobs per week (increased from the 3 required during regular UI). Also, keep detailed records as they conduct more frequent work search audits for EB recipients.

Had the same issue back in January. Got super worried, but checked my bank account 2 days later and the money was deposited on schedule despite the website never updating correctly. The website and the actual payment system seem to be separate sometimes. I wouldn't worry unless your payment doesn't arrive on your usual day.

0 coins

Thanks, that makes me feel better. I'll wait and see if the payment hits my account on the regular day. Fingers crossed!

Final advice - if your payment doesn't arrive on schedule, don't wait around hoping it will resolve itself. Call immediately. For issues like this, getting ahead of potential problems can prevent weeks of delayed payments. When you call, mention specifically that you received the 'already certified' error message when trying to certify again, as that's evidence your original certification was recorded.

Thanks for all the advice! I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned above and got through to a rep this morning. They confirmed my certification went through fine and said it's just a display glitch affecting some accounts. Payment should arrive on schedule! Such a relief.

One important thing to note: there are daily and monthly transfer limits when moving money from the KeyBank card to your personal account. I believe the daily limit is $1,000 and monthly is $5,000. This typically isn't an issue for most unemployment payments, but something to be aware of if you have a large backpay amount.

0 coins

Good to know about the limits. My weekly benefit is way below that, so shouldn't be a problem.

0 coins

Watch out for KeyBank's RIDICULOUS inactivity fees! If you don't use the card for 12 months they start charging $1.50 PER MONTH just for having money sitting there. Make sure you either use it or transfer everything out!

0 coins

This is correct - NY unemployment KeyBank cards do have a $1.50 monthly inactivity fee after 12 months of no transactions. It's always best to either transfer all funds or maintain some activity on the card to avoid these charges.

UPDATE: My son just got an email from his HR department about this program! They said they'll be providing all current employees who had hour reductions with the documentation they need for the application. So at least for larger hotel chains, it seems like they're being proactive about helping employees apply. His HR said applications should open June 15th and they expect high demand, so be ready to apply early!

0 coins

That's great news! It's smart of them to be proactive. Make sure your son submits his application as soon as it opens - these programs sometimes run out of funding if too many people apply.

thx for the update! i wish my company would do that

ANOTHER UPDATE: I just saw on the news that they're now saying it might be delayed until July because they're "finalizing the application system" which is just code for THEY MESSED SOMETHING UP AGAIN!! I'm so sick of these constant delays. People are struggling NOW. The hospitality industry has been hit so hard and they keep dangling help in front of us only to pull it away at the last minute. This is the third "assistance program" they've announced for our industry that ends up delayed or so restrictive hardly anyone qualifies.

0 coins

Oh no, that's disappointing! I'll let my son know about the possible delay. Hopefully they'll still get it sorted out soon.
