Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. The whole system is set up to discourage you from applying. They make it as confusing and frustrating as possible hoping you'll just give up. Took me 6 weeks to get my first payment even though I did everything right. NYS Department of Labor acts like they're doing you a favor when it's YOUR money that you paid into through payroll taxes.
This is so true. And God forbid you make one tiny mistake on your application - they'll hold up your entire claim for weeks while they 'investigate' obvious typos.

Don't forget that your benefits might be subject to taxes too! I didn't realize that when I first started collecting and it was a surprise at tax time. You can choose to have taxes withheld from your weekly payments through your my.ny.gov account settings.
Same boat here! Got my approval but the paperwork is like reading hieroglyphics. Why can't they just send you a simple letter that says 'You get $X per week for Y weeks' instead of all this legal jargon??
I know it's frustrating, but the detailed breakdown is actually helpful once you understand it. It shows your base period wages, benefit year dates, and maximum benefit amount available. Keep that letter safe - you'll need it if there are ever any issues with your claim.

THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO DENY PEOPLE!! I worked for 15 years and got denied because of some technicality about my last day of work vs when I filed. They make it impossible on purpose to save money.
I feel you on the frustration but there are legitimate appeal processes if you think you were wrongly denied.

Just be ready for the job search requirements even with partial benefits. You still need to keep a log and apply to jobs weekly. It's annoying when you already have a job but that's the rule.
